No, I'm Agartha and I have 2 provinces with about 20-30 gold between them, 0 gems, and under 2 candles of domspread a turn, so I kind of had to mock Jarkko for losing over 200 units plus a bane with some magic boots attacking me...as I said, even if he had won and only lost 100 units I can't imagine it being worth the losses. *shrug*

Thanks Micah, yeah somehow I got it into my head early on that you are Abysia. And that thought is like permanently burned into my synapses, and I've tried killing those brain cells off, but I guess I got the wrong ones. Damned elusive brain cells!

V,
Once they are all dead you no longer have to worry about being selective... ;)

Heh, finally had a chance to look at the battle :)

The bane had some boots I got from an event, so no crying there. The maenad were about to start to starve, so I had to do something with them, so I thought I'd send a recon force.

Micah, that province is really well defended, kudos for that! If the stupid horse manikin had ripped your mages apart instead of turning tail just an inch a way to go after the militia... and then the Bane following them did the same thing... sigh. Well, at least I got a pretty nice view on what you have there :)

as qm is still travelling, and I won't be home at the host time, I'll delay hosting for 3 hrs again.

Who else has Abysia attacked then?

Can I request the next turn (35) be delayed from Thursday 48h until Saturday 19th? I've got a lot on until the weekend, and I've got some major battles to work out so I can't afford to chuck in a junk turn.

archaeolept September 16th, 2009 03:58 PM

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

so you would like the next turn to be 48 hrs? or 72 hrs? or delayed to a precise time (give GMT)? of course it would be easy to do.

Agema September 16th, 2009 05:21 PM

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

Delay until about 20.00GMT Saturday, please.

Whoa - actually this could be a big deal. There was a major battle b/w Atlantis and Aby this turn. If QM didnt have a chance to script for it....

Yeah that went rather poorly for that reason.

qm has arrived at his destination, but I fear he may have passed out, so i'm extending this host.. again :)

+6 hrs.

also still waiting on eriu.

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

hmmm that was strange, it hosted anyways, even though the game page had it as set to host in 6 hrs, ie. 4:00 GMT. I guess Alpine doesn't get 6 bonus hours, sorry Alpine :)

llama has been notified in case there is some sort of communication issue between llamaserver.net and the gameserver proper.

ugh I was counting on that time :(

Sorry to stale guys, it won't happen again. It also shouldn't hurt me much at this point anyway.

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

sorry to hear that :(

really, we have no idea why it happened - atm, I'm guessing changes to hosting time just weren't even being recognized at all by llamaserver, even though they got updated on the game page.

the only solution would be a general rollback, which I really hope is not warranted...

No no of course not. I will simply play on.

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

19:55 GMT on Saturday September 19th Hosting delayed by -6 hours.

It looks like the '-' was the problem.

Thanks Alpine Joe, for not requesting a rollback. But did you intend to move your expeditionary force back to patrol your capitol? Or were you planning on attacking with it?

If you had been planning on moving it back to patrol your capitol, I'm sure I would have lost that fight. So please tell me if that was the case, and I will agree to give orders to move off your capitol this month, if you like.

archaeolept September 19th, 2009 07:21 PM

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

hosting was delayed by 10 hrs, then another 2 right away, as 10 seemed too short, then qm showed up so right away again i edited by post and changed it by -6, which is not supposed to have any issues, leading to the net +6. Proper hosting time was listed on the game page, or so I thought I saw

v0v

edit: the admin logs confirm this, except that there were two +2 hr changes... still the total of the delays should have added up to +8 in this case... not 0.

anyways, I sent the info to Llama.

vfb September 19th, 2009 08:14 PM

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

Thanks Arch. Sorry, I looked at your post above saying "+6" hours, and the last line on llamaserver, which said -6.

It looks like the llamaserver hosted the game immediately when it got the -6 hours request. Good to know that's how it works!

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

Can I please request a 4 hour delay. Have a busy afternoon ahead, so probably won't have chance to arrange my turn until late this evening. And if the delay could be checked as having actually taken affect, then that would be cool as well :)

Let the status page be the admin's friend on this, for it knows all and is in ultimate control of the game. And sometimes it's lofty status causes it to ignore the messages thrown out, or towards it, by the admin controls.

Well it's good night for Arco.
I'll be setting myself AI this turn, not a single soldier left, and all provinces taxed out.

There were a few interesting battles with R'lyeh, and that's about it for me from this game.

I think MA Arco is crappy nation for such a game.
Hardly any use for mages, no use for gems, no way of making anything even remotely thuggish. No perspective at all, and the troops are, well moderate at best.

This is a game for death nations.

Hey guys - just woke up to find a 6hr warning on a my forge turn. Not sure how I bungled this, I thought I had until tonight to play. Don't have time now cause I'm about to leave for work. Can I get a delay until 8 or 9pm?

Haha oh man with no forging or summoning i'm pretty much toast....so many gems going to waste.

A bounty of gems to anyone who helps free Eriu's capital from the judgmental Marignons!

Alas I fear that sadly any rescue of Eriu would have to be done out of kind heart or church hatred. Since the mighty QM has declared that all the trade routes are closed in the barren world of Forge, so any caravans laden with gifted gems would surely fall prey to thieves and bandits.

yah, absolutely no transfer of gems/gold/items allowed. sorry alpine.

namad September 21st, 2009 01:07 PM

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

you can just alchemize nature into fire and then have the gold and use it to recruit or buy pd

or you can use it to reduce fatigue cost on spells that aren't that important

or you can use it on summons which are bad because well if your about to die... no reason not to eh?

you can always pray that the following turn you get a giant free militia event or a hero or a free fort... all of the above things have been happening all over the world already I reckon

Alpine Joe September 21st, 2009 01:49 PM

A shame that those Holy saboteurs burnt down your lab :( All those alchemists instantly put out of a job, and a trapped gem horde that is likely to be entombed with the Eriu Pretender.

Can I please ask what happened to the 48 hour schedule? Since the llamaserver is still reporting that we are on 24 hours. Or is the switch being delayed until next turn for some reason?

I've added a day in total to this host time, due to what would seem to be confusion.

the confusion stems from overlooking the distinction between "start thinking about going over" and "actually doing so". :)

qm is the one to make such a decision, but he has not as of yet done so.

Calahan September 24th, 2009 11:22 AM

Re: Forge of Godhood - started

Ah right, many thanks for the clarification Archae :) I thought there'd been a decision on the IRC or something regarding switching to 48hours, and the post here referring to it was just aimed at canvassing further positive support for a decision that had possibly/probably already been taken on the IRC.
