Ragnars Wolves from good 'ol' Kansas (NO Northern Iowa comments for at least 6 months please).

Have not played SP and was advised to just jump in, read the forums, and take my first few beatings like everyone else. Soooooo, I guess....let the beatings begin!!!:p

You may have found it by now, but the Dom3 (3.24) patch can be found on this page:

Edi's DB is here:

Personally I would not have made the suggestion to "jump in". Many find SP enjoyable. And in any case Id have recommended experimenting with each nation first. They each have pros and cons. Some are strongly offensive, or defensive, or research, or stealth, or basically the standard barbarian horde style of play, and more. Finding the one that best fits your playing style might make those "beatings" less horrible.

25-year old Male from Wichita, KS, USA. My friend got me into Dominions III around Christmas, and I've been playing a few single-players since. Now he, a few other friends, and I are trying some Multiplayer. I can't believe how there are apparently two learning curves...once you get decent at SP, you have to make another learning jump to be decent at MP.

Unfortunately, I don't really garner any joy out of the SP experience anymore (but my interest in that area was waning anyway). I enjoy the intrigue and the thrill far too much of MP.

Greets, 28 YO male from Hong Kong looking for gir... Got into dominion a few weeks back from recommendations in Octopusoverlord forum. I'm enjoying this a lot and hope to foray into MP games soon, after I try every single team out and jot down some personal notes for each of them.

I enjoy how unique some of the teams are (LA R'yeth!) and hope to pick up more on the game mechanics before I hop in a MP game.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)

Hi all,
this is my first message in this forum and I'd like introduce myself.

I'm computer engineer. I'm 37 years old and I'm from Barcelona ( Spain). I knew about Dominions two months ago in a spanish wargame forum. Currently I'm playing a couple of Dominions Multiplayers games with others spanish players. But I hope I play another MP games in this forum. :fight:

I've been playing videogames since 9 years old in 8 bit computers. These last years I was mainly played strategy turn-based games (Combat Mission, Civilization,...). I don't like play RTS (Real Time Strategy) games.

Finally I'd like to tell you that I love this game! :D

Wal
