There's also a mention on the front page of the C N Wiki that the nation strength formula was modified (downward) recently. |
Re: OT: Cyber Nation
Well I hate to add to this mystery, but I was able to access top of the line aircraft, but now I am two full grades below them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif And I have over 300 tech.

Re: OT: Cyber Nation
Here you go, this link should help to clear everything up. Since joining the IRON Council and being appointed the DMoD I've had to keep abreast of these changes. Also there is discussion of changing the DefCon system so you can only shift up or down by one level per day. So many people spoke out against it Admin has suspended the change for now. So say for example you are in DefCon 5 and someone attacks you. If this change passes it will take you four days to get to DefCon1.
DefCon5 = Day 1 You are attacked DefCon4 = Day 1 In response to the attack that day DefCon3 = Day 2 Still getting pounded DefCon2 = Day 3 Still getting pounded but most tech raids start to wrap up when target is active DefCon1 = Day 4 Most tech raids on actives are over by now |
Re: OT: Cyber Nation
I thought you were nuked out of the game man! Now your on IRON council.... what was in those nukes... fertilizer?

Re: OT: Cyber Nation
NarbozaLand has been attacked by U.P.E.
Fiducia has offered aid and successfully counterattacked. Edit: Update - U.P.E. has responded to Fiducia with two cruise missles, two bombing runs, and two ground attacks. I believe Fiducia is still ahead in terms of expenditures, but don't feel like running the math ATM. In probably unrelated news, Fiducia also recieved an invitation to join the Norden Verein alliance, which happens to have a treaty with Nueva Vida, which is U.P.E.'s alliance. |
Re: OT: Cyber Nation
Hmmm, now I log in, and three different people, from three different alliances, have attacked me... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: OT: Cyber Nation
Update #2: U.P.E. called in its ally Bings Palace to attack Fiducia as well; the resulting casualties drove Fiducia into Anarchy. Fiducia has accepted Bings Palace's peace offer, and offered peace to U.P.E. on the condition that their alliance (Nueva Vida) leave NarbozaLand alone. (And my estimate that Fiducia was still ahead overall turned out to be grossly mistaken even before Bings Palace attacked.)
In unrelated (AFAIK) news, Jraenar has been hit so hard by a tech raid that his nation strength is now too low to counterattack the raider. |
Re: OT: Cyber Nation
Yeah, and it smells to me like it's not your general "tech raid". Since, you know, they seemed more concerned about bombing me than stealing tech. And then, all of a sudden, I get more recruitment letters from these alliances attacking us. One's of the tone "hey, you won't be attacked anymore if you join us," with the implicit statement, "the beatings will continue until you join us."
They can all frackin go to hell. |
Re: OT: Cyber Nation
Ah, politics. It's like school all over again.
