soooo... comments? criticisms? praise? (A guy can hope...) death threats?

I know the main sats and the transport tiny mini has problems, and will get around to fixing those soon.

(edited: Fyron has kindly provided a preview page for Sev. Thanks if you wanted to provide one.)

Re: Texture comparison

I like the appearance of your shipset. The ships and bases (especially bases!) look very threatening and gloomy. And huge amount of models make it possible to use really unique ship for each hull size for a bunch of Neomods. Cool work, TC!

SOme criticism: strangely, but the positive fact that some of the models are very complex and with many small details turned into the negative side: it's difficult to determine up, bottom, left and right for some models, and they look as chaotic conglomeration of parts.
Also many models rotated into the left (considering that right camera position is a canon for se4 shipsets). It's not a disadvantage, actually, just slightly uncomfortable for perception.

PS: sorry for spelling, I'm in a hurry to check it.

If you don't want to buy Winrar, download freeware unrar utility http://www.rarlab.com/rar/unrarw32.exe
put unrar.exe and shipset archive in the same directory, ie c:\temp
run the command line and type: c:\temp\unrar.exe e 292500-Sev.rar . Hit Enter. What's all.

The Sev set is now offered in Zip Format!

It's the attachment link above.

Also, for those of you who downloaded the first RAR Version of the set now needs (or does not need) to download the Sev set fix, which is a file containing the revised transport tiny mini pic and sat mini pic.

Thanks, yeah, since the set is asymmetric, I sort of had to rotate the ships to get the best camera angle, but hopefully nobody will mind and some might even find the new angles refreshing, hopefully. And about the chaotic conglomeration - one of the limitations of DoGA or my insane mind I guess, but hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Enjoy the set! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I've been hearing from some people that the "backward" (they're not backwards, grumble, grumble) portrait pics are somewhat quirky to their eyes and feel that they should be faced the "right" way, that being where the back of the ship is on the right side of the picture and the front of the ship being on the left side of the picture.

While I personally feel that there is nothing wrong with the pics, and that they add visual flavour to the set, I am nevertheless only a humble shipset maker that will render pics at your whims; the customer is the king, as they say.

Thus, I have flipped some of the pics the other way, and have created the Sev Backward Pictures Response Pack, which will replace some (ships and drones, not bases) portrait pics with new ones.

You can choose to download the pack, but it won't do anything to harm your enjoyment of the set if you won't (and I recommend that you don't, personally).

You can download it by clicking on the attachment link above.
