Re: Qwerty - MA team game. Sign up!

So... The drawing is done and you may enjoy your races and develop team strategies (see first post).
I think we'll start no earlier then Sunday and once we receive a teammate for Cor2 (WraithLord wanted to join but he said he won't be able to play until May, 20th) and have all pretenders uploaded.
I don't think it is worth making predefined starting locations on the map as I see no problem with random ones but that is open to discussion. Also if you have any suggestions on the game, map etc, let's discuss them.
I will also add the list of exploits I wouldn't like to see in the game. Suggestions are welcome.

btw don't you think there is an error on the alexander map: province 276 should be Farmland I think.

Yes, it looks like a farmland... Probably, you should contact PashaDawg on this issue.

Looks like you have got the major exploits listed already ano.

I take it each individual team sorts out which of the 2 races they play between each another?

Random starting places may be unfair if lets say 2 teammates start next door to each another and another 2 on opposite sides of the map.

Actually wraparound map doesn't have opposite sides. And I am not sure that being close to each other is a big advantage. If you have better suggestion, let's do something. However, if we decide to make predefined locations, it would be better if someone more close to the map-making did it.
This has a downside too: when locations are predefined, very early rushes are available.

Answer to your second question is "yes". I mentioned this in the first post ("rules" section).

Province 276 is farmland on the latest version of the map. Note that the updated map file is posted in the thread a few posts below the first post in the map thread. If I got it wrong still, let me know. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Sorry, but I am going to have to drop out of this one. I wont have time in the comming weeks and I don't want to make a commitment that I can't keep.

That's true - thanks ano for PMing me. However, I'll be back on the 20th so I'll need at least a day to contemplate my game strategy and more importantly discuss with Cor2 thus I'll only be able to start on the 21st. I hate to impose delays on the majority so I'll leave it up to you players and to ano to decide whether or not that can work. If so, I'll be happy to join this game and work together with Cor2, otherwise, no big deal, there's pleny of games to go around http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

That's bad. Btw, you were in one of the strongest teams, IMO.

WraithLord
