Cybersol posted a map to AIs... It would be ok, just erasing the player1 from the corner at the down left.

I like the idea of balanced symetrical maps. I'd like to give one a try sometime.

Re: SE4 Rating System

If I understand it correctly, there are 2 players who wish to be rated in Anklebiters:

Loser (who, if I understand it, thought everyone had to agree for it to be a rated game and therefore, assumed it wasn't a rated one)

RexTorres (who assumed he was being rated)

I have no record of a request by either of these 2 to be rated in Anklebiters except for the recent Posts in the Anklebiters thread.

As is the case with games that have already started, allowing players to be rated after the game has started requires an "OK" from all the existing players who are being rated. There are several reasons a person may not want another person to be allowed to have a game rated after the game has progressed as far as this one has. I don't need a reason when you send me your "vote", I just need to know if you think it's OK or NOT OK. I need a vote from everyone who is participating as a rated player.

I will allow a week for the responses for each of the players to come in to me in email. After that, if every rated player has responded AND every rated player says it is OK, I will add either Loser or RexTorres (or both) to the site.

In closing, I would like to remind the players that I post to this thread as a notice that I have made changes to the Ratings site. That means, usually, I have added a game or completed a game. Everyone who thinks they have some kind of activity in the Ratings should check the site to verify information about them has been modified (and modified correctly) when they see such a notice here.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I have no problem with these two, and anyone else currently in the game that wants to be rated if they say so right now. But any longer then this and I think we are too far into the game to start letting people change their minds. I am going to send an email to all the players and ask them to speak now or forever hold their peace.

We have surrendered to Alneyan. Give the well earned win to Alneyan.
Now my Ratings are starting to level off to where I expect them, not up in the top 10.

The Primitive one keep Mastodons for pets. He knows very well how to step over (or rather walk around) the turds.

Do not worry Slynky, for I will obviously stand up to the Primitive and deny him access to your seat, and victory shall be ours in our team game. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif But if you cannot settle this little conflict, I might consider taking the chair. *Knowing grin*

No, really, I would be content with going above the 1,000 points line for once, even for a few minutes, it would make my day. Please Primitive, do me this favour. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Thanks, Baron but but the game is only listed once in the DB. That's part of the reporting "problem". I copy and paste the report which, when it runs to the second page, carries over the Last record it used. I usually notice them and remove them. I'll get it on the next go-round.

I have gotten votes for Loser and Rextorres to be rated or not rated in the Anklebiter game and the results are all FOR them to be rated. I will add them to the list soon.

Very closely following the announcement about Rex and Loser, Parasite sent an email requesting to be rated in the game as well. I don't have a vote from everyone on him yet, so I'm going to wait a few more days.

And may I say, the Balance mod by Geo is worth a try...but if you live for more of the chance of exploring and get what you get, I can manage a bit of empire placement (without any system adjustments...just moving each starting position so there are no unfair starts withing 1-2 systems away).

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">LOL...cross posted with ya, Geo.

If you guys are interested...I can do the Balance mod and adjust starting positions. Just so you know (as others have who have had my "adjustments"), I do NOT place the empires as far away from each other as possible. What I do DO is give them what I think is adequate room. How much room is best to be left undisclosed, IMHO, because I don't want the players to "know" they have the whole map to expand in without trouble. This, in my opinion, still leaves a bit of guessing on just how far away the opponent is and just how much expanding can be done safely.

Just let me know.
