The Peace Thread
 

This thread may drop to the bottomless pit below inside of a week, but I have to give it a try.

It seems to me that more and more bLasting is going on about here, jumping on one anther for having a different view of the world as it is, as it was, and as it will be. I joined this Forum to share ideas, not to be trounced on. Let me add now that I too have criticized more than one person, so I am including myself in all of this as well. Here it is the “Happy Time of the Year” and it seems more like an arms race of words.

Let this thread be a “Safe House” where anyone can post a thought or start a topic without fear of criticism. Heck throw out some silly and pointless rattling if you want, just so long as that rattling is from your good humor and not your saber.

I will start:
How many of you get up in the morning [Christmas Day] and check your roof to see if Santa’s little flight crew left a present of their own design when they landed? I was under the impression that it was given to the bad boys and girls in place of coal, when he ran out of the former that is. I secretly copied this excerpt of an interview between Santa Claus and Jerkaldo Riviera, the interview was done Last year.

Here we go again. Here I am saving my pennies so I can get on the same page with everyone playing SEIV Gold (rather than Version 1.49) and now we're talking about SEV. I know things evolve, but when I upgrade, I'd like to think it's going Last as long as the cheese in my refrigerator (sorry narf). Call me cheap, but it would be nice if a new design would allow for more creative modding, so that it could be upgraded rather than sent to the dust-pile. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

Gold does allow for more creative modding. Proportions and AIC mods, for example, are completely impossible under pre-Gold SEIV because of a few changes to Settings.txt that are crucial to the entire purpose of said mods.

Besides, Gold has already been out for at least a year, SE4 for three. And SEV is just in the planning stages right now- it isn't even officially announced!
