OT: Crusader

I have to say that I have seen only about three of the episodes of this series, and it is a shame that it was cancelled. It was, from what I have seen, a solid series with a lot of promis.

It is a crying shame that it was cancelled, and I wouldn't want to second guess those who chose to cancel it, but what in the hell were they thinking?

Good God this series, if allowed to run, would have been a cash cow.

If I was a rich as Bill Gates, and found this series as interesting as I do, I would have sprung for the conintuation of the series. Hell for a 100 million, a pair of pants to Bill, the series could have had a good long run.

What a shame that we will never know how it went, we know how it turned out, but the journey to get there we know nothing about.

a friend of mine saw him take a taxi out of SFO. not a private car or limo, but a taxi. from the queue. walked right by the press, over to the taxi queue, got in, left. that was maybe in the mid 90s.

Was this a sci-fi channel show? I'm not surprised it was canceled. Like I've stated before, I think a bunch of suits run the show, and don't understand sci-fi, just the bottom line. I think my 3 year old son could do better programming than whoever is doing it now. I'm sorry I missed the few episodes that were aired.

No. It was on TNT. Same place that B5 started, until it moved to... umm... wherever it ended up (which was definitely not Sci-Fi until well after the show had ended).

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">TNT? That's almost as bad. Ted Turner isn't the most solid of individuals, even though he's made his billions. To tell you the truth, I don't think I've watched any of his networks since they pulled wrestling off of their programming.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Correction, B5 started with Warner Brothers, and was sold into sindication for 5 years. Then it was sold to TNT who produced the show for one more year. In that time they produced three movies on the series.

Crusader was TNT show, but TNT being TNT, shafted the show by not giving it a dedicated time slot. They would bump it without notice, show it at funcky hours, and then *****ed about how poorly the show was doing. In other words they set it up to fail so they could collect on the insurance money. (They do insure new shows to make a return.)

TNT is by far one of the worst networks on cable. They may produce nice movies, but they SUCK at series. And the movies they show are often horribly edited. I gave up trying to watch TNT years ago. They did such a butcher job on Payback that it was a joke.

Sci-Fi produced the movie, and talked about doing the series, Rangers. But we all know how they are, they are all talk, little follow through.

Basically they just don't have the money. It was finacial decision that tanked Farscape afterall.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Bill Gates is a very low key kind of guy. He likes it that way according to his biography.

Can you blame him? If you were worth billions, and could walk around an airport and never be noticed, then in all likelyhood, its a safe bet that your not a target for some kidnapping or something equally as dumb.

To think that being the owner of a software company who licensed a product that they did not own at that time, would make you the richest man alive. Talk about foresight.

Man I could have sworn that Crusade was ran on Sci-Fi, its been soo long ago (maybe TNT bailed on it so fast that I didn't catch the switch to Sci-Fi). As far as Farscape, they ran out of money, but started that stupid show Scare Tactics? Talk about not having brains. Though I think the shows premis is dumb, why run it on Sci-Fi, it was just another reality show, nothing to do with Sci-Fi.

I agree that the "suits" don't know crud about Sci-fi, I still couldn't belive that FOX took off John Doe after 1 season, that was so good, and though it had a fantasy twist to it, I bet the show appealed to the main stream viewers. Also, I can't help but wonder how the cliff hanger would have played out.
