OMG the makers of Twinkies and all those good munchie snack foods with a shelf life of a bajillion years has filed for bankruptcy protection!

I couldn't care less. We, here in Holland, have bakeries. We get our bread from real wheat and not that fake stuff you call wonderbread.
Sorry, my opinion on the North American food industry.
Unfortunate for the workers though. I feel for them.

What? Hostess makes bread too?
Im not going to miss the bread. Thats just an edible napkin so the meat in my sandwiche isnt so messy. I can switch to tortillas.
But the PASTRYS! What will I do without the pastry?
How am I supposed to get my daily recommended preservatives?

Well we do that too, but we also need our pastries!

Personaly Wonder bread was good if it was fresh. Any more then 2 days old and it was nasty.

That might not be so far fetched. The eternal edibility of twinkies is the stuff of science fiction novels everywhere. It is (at least as far as paperback books) the only "food" worth putting in your fallout shelter. Not like Im going to stock my bunker with tofu! And what will we put on the colony ships?!?
