Tough Scenarios
Okay I hate to be the first, but I'm stuck. I'm playing through the Campaign and I have no clue as to how to win the third Orc scenario "On the Offense". It seems that taking Dwarf cities is the key but if I get more then one and can hold it, I'm doing great. If you don't take the cities, the dwarf will just overwhelm you. And with the unlock method of campaigning, it gets very frustrating being unable do anything else. Thoughts?

Re: Tough Scenarios
Interestingly enough, I would argue that Orc3 (On the Offense) isn't necessarily that hard, although many of the beta testers got stuck on it too.
I think what helped them beat it was that they realized that that particular mission is very unique in that the player has a lot of cash up front. Use it to build a powerful army as quickly as you possibly can! Make sure you take minimal losses, because you won't earn any more money. And taking cities sooner rather than later is generally a good idea. You won't get money from cities you own, but neither will your opponent, which is the most important thing. Just keep spending your money as quickly as possible, and once you have a larger force than your opponent, you can push that advantage by killing his units almost as soon as he makes them. I hope that helps! -Hiro_Antagonist |
Re: Tough Scenarios
I was just going to note that I found the "secret". There's probably more then one way to do it, but for now (not to make it too easy) I'll just say that conservation worked for me.
Thanks for your help. |
Re: Tough Scenarios
Just to contribute to your post, I would like to add that in my notes I have marked this scenario as an easy one...
But you will have the chance to play some tough scenarios after a while. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif p.s Hiro, I tried to refresh my memory about this scenario but I couldn't run my beta version because it has expired... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif |
Re: Tough Scenarios

Re: Tough Scenarios
In my case, I don't wish to get a free copy because I am doing beta just for fun.
If you combine this, with the fact that LOL will hardly arrive in Greece... (Dominion for example hasn't) then I guess that I won't be able to enjoy anymore this fine game. Anyway, as Sammas already stated, we have already played a lot this game!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif cheers, Pyros |
Re: Tough Scenarios
Email was sent out today about the beta tester copies, the quicker you use the information in that email, the quicker you will get your copy and be playing again! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
