Greater Gods v0.40
1 Attachment(s)
The purpose of this mod is to make gods feel more truly GODlike. It is not intended to improve balance, though weaker gods have been given more buffs than stronger ones.
Currently 27 gods have been adjusted; I am looking for feedback as to whether the mod is on a good path; so i don't finish all 100 or so gods then find out things aren't nice. Most of the ones adjusted so far are common ones. I estimate most things have been improved by around 90-200 points, though of course abiltiies don't have point values, so it's just a guess. Not all changes show up on pretender selection, notably onebattlespell and various domsummon commands. If you want to see the full text, you can read the mod text in notepad; right-click on the mod and select edit (in windows, but it should open in any text editor on any system) Monsters are in order of id#, which can be found in game by with ctrl-i. So, lemme know if the mod is in a good direction, or if stuff should generally be buffed more/less. individual god comments are also welcome; also please report any bugs you find. Re: Greater Gods v0.40
If I could make one suggestion: It would be easier for us to discuss mods of this nature, in a more general way, if you could detail what changes you've made, so that we don't have to download the mod and then page through it, just to give you advice on whether we think something is going to be a good or bad idea. Testing the mod out is another matter, but just looking over stats and proposed ideas and discussing them can be done from here.

Re: Greater Gods v0.40
this mod is good but i have one question. Why on earth does the virtue have 7 holy points.
|
Re: Greater Gods v0.40
For a truly impressive banish?
|
Re: Greater Gods v0.40
but why would a god get it, the whole point of holy points is that they are getting the power from their god, so i really don't think that any god worships itself?
|
Re: Greater Gods v0.40
No, but on the other hand why shouldn't a god be able to bless its sacred troops personally?
|
Re: Greater Gods v0.40
I just came up with a reason:
As an angel, Virtue could be thought of as a prophet of some other god. He wouldn't mind being worshipped, as long as he can get large enough congregation of having a chance at recalling HIS god. Perhaps zlefin came up with a reason as well. |
Re: Greater Gods v0.40
that makes sense do a certain degree but 7 still seems a bit too high

Re: Greater Gods v0.40
Well if the Virtue is the One and Only voice of his god in this world, and has been charged to form a nation of worshipers around himself so that they may see the True Light it would make sense that the god in question invests an obscene amount of holy power into him.

Re: Greater Gods v0.40
the whole point is that she used to be the voice of god and now to protect the world be becoming a TRUE GOD not a voice, The God
