Save the Juprups!

Political upheaval has Devastated Juprup society. Now they need a great leader to lead them back from oblivion. Do you have what it takes to reclaim their role as a superpower in the quadrant?

Replacement player needed.
P&N on PBW, take 2
v1.49 + P&Nv2.5PBW

Aw, man! And I was just about to make him an offer he couldn't refuse!

I've visited the Juprup systems, and I fail to see what is so bad about it.
They've got a great start, possibly the largest number of colonies of any race, a nice defendable territory, and I'm offering to be their best friend!

Now only if installing SE4 1.49 hadn't made SE Gold run like crap http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

And the legendary Phoenix-D returns from the isle of death in the Juprup's most dire hour of need...

Now there's some irony for you.... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've currently got 1.49, Gold 1.60, and Gold 1.67 installed, and haven't noticed any performance hit at all.

Have you tried the usual turn CD music on/off, etc.?

I didn't change a *thing* in SE4 Gold, and it's the one that's really jerky. Mouse movement jerky, delayed menu activation, missed clicks, the whole 9 yards.
