More stats?

Am i the only one that misses more stats? I mean, i would like overviews of how many troops i have from type blabla, how many fighters i have and so on. Also, how many ships of a certain type have been killed. I know that you can get these Last stats in the ship design window but having one seperate window for all these kind of stats would be cool. I mis that in SEIV.

I would like to see more stats and more control. Right now you can either manage on the ship/unit/planet/fleet scale or the limited empire scale. I wish there were something in between. I would like to say things like "Build Weapon Platform X on any planet not building anything with Y cargo space empty" or "Show me a list of all planets that don't have the right breathing population" or "Fill planet with Mineral Miner II except for Last slot, build a Robotoid in the Last slot, then upgrade MM II's to MM III's" or "Show me a list of systems that don't have a System Robotoid (or cloak detection, or long range scanning, etc)".

I wish SE5 will have things along these lines.

Slick.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, but i would like more stats and better organized in it's own screen. Also, casualties (civilian & military) is fun. Fun might not be the correct word but you know what i mean.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, but that would mean Aaron would have to make a kind of query language. And that he probably would have to put his data in a db structure of some sort. He could then use SQL to build these reports. As you said, being able to ask for these reports would be awesome.

Re: More stats?

I think the data must already be in a db format of some kind, even if it is custom built. Everything about SE4 is databaselike. There are lists (records) and attributes (fields) for everything. Also, since the game is turn based, queues of orders (database operations) are a natural way to process turns.
