Contracting Component/Facility Artists
 
Adamant Mod uses a lot of components and facilities that do not have good pictures in the Image Mod (especially for Organic and Magic races). So, are there any artists out there that would be willing to make some pics for me to use? They would of course need to be submitted to the Image Mod. Hmmm... unfortunate that our artists are pretty busy I guess.

I would even do one or 2 but my skills are really limited. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif And I pretty much only dabble in 2-D.

Hmm, I thought you were getting rid of the SS/BP distinction for the Neutron BLasters... and couldn't the Recyclotron use its MOO2 pic which is in the Imagemod?

Yes, that was the idea. You've posted a message somewhere long ago in which you told that you were looking for these components (or perhaps it was SJ, I can't remember)

By the way what are Growth Chamber, wooden armor and golgi complex ? Does the facilities that are written as (ruins) must be drawn as ruined buildings ?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I replaced the old AST with Subterranean Race. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif AST affects "cargo" facilities as well.

Growth Chamber is the Organic Race SY component/facility.

Wooden Armor is the first armor available to Magic races.

Golgi Complex is the Organic cargo storing facility. They use Golgi Bodies (or something... I forget) for their cargo bays. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Just an idea about magical race components: replace current magical "weapons" (actually spells) with scrolls or runes with different symbols. This is good because of: a) it will fit magic idea better; b) it will be easier for arists to make new componets images (you need a template for scroll or rune and a bit of creativity to draw symbol). How do you like it, Fyron?

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">The current magic weapon images are used because they are in the image mod already. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif A magic weapon is more like a staff or other sort of device that is enchanted to be able to cast the spells. The spells are not necessarily cast by a mage every time the spelljammer fires its weapons.
