I love the top one. I think the bottom one is too symmetrical- maybe curve the "tail" in one direction or the other, or have some kind of nice, chunky connection between the cigar and the ring but on one side only. You could even curve the tail right round to connect with the ring..?

Narf, I don't think he is un-retired from making Star Trek ship sets, but is finishing up sets that were in the pipe line. I have seen these images before, but with differant textures.

I for one hope that he finishes the Vulcan race, the Andorian, Kazon, and Gorn has he had indicated he was going to do.

Non Star Trek Races That I like

EDF

I would rate the EDF as his best non star trek, with the Starwolf close behind.

The Ticon are by far one of his more impressive sets, as are the Pyrexia and Huron.

But if you put all of his ship sets together, and had to choose the best one, right now I would choose the EDF, followed by the Dominion, then the Starwolf, Huron, Ticon, Pyrexia, Cardassian, 8472, and finally the Breen.

Worst - Kazon hands down, then the Vulcans.

To be honest i don't understand what people dislike about the current Kazon set. Ok the carriers, Mines and fighters need some work i'll admit, and the mini's don't really show enough detail of the ships. But apart from that the warships are really good. I havn't seen a kazon ship in star trek before but these designs just feel like what a kazon ship should be. I love the curving front and the just general design of them. I'm sure Atrocities can improve them, but if it's a total redesign of the ships i think i'll rename the new one as Kazon2 and keep both http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Edit: I've never seen the Illuminati and the page doesn't work on the site, and i'm quite interested in the general concept of them, especially since you called the evil ones in your story the Illuminati. The Kazon ships look good to me too. If you are going to go through with a total redesign AT, make sure to keep the current Kazon ships as a different race.
