Be Honest Now

Be honest now, what would you really like to be doing on thanksgiving day?

I already had Thanksgiving Day. It was on October 13th. (I live in Canada.) No, I did not spend it with my family.

i'd be spending quality time with my family and maybe some relitives - although i don't think there's any left in the area - but, honestly, i never was one for long conversations. i don't know, but for some reason i'm way more chatty over the internet. in person, i'm monosylabic. maybe it's because i can convey way more information with tone of voice. i dunno. but this would be me if this was in person: 'computer, mostly, i guess. some family time'. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I already see my in-laws enough as it is. I don't particularly want to spend all day with them, especially since I saw them at my son's birthday party this past Saturday. But I'll go, and wish I was at home watching some of the dvd's I haven't had the time to see and maybe play some SEIV Gold.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving down here, so I'll be working. We had a holiday on the 15th, but it was a Saturday. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

But supposing it was a holiday, yes, I'd like to have 24 hours all to myself.

I think I'd rather be in Brazil. I just read that there is a lost colony of Confederates down there. Not that I'm a Confederate sympathizer but it would be fun to see.
Other than that I'd just like to sit back and play SEIV or even Warlords III (yeah from '97).

Re: Be Honest Now

I will be spending most of the day working on grad school papers/projects, except for a informal dinner with the in-laws.

I would rather be playing SEIV or Medieval: Total War all day. Either that or one of the items from the very long list titled when I graduate. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

I will be spending the day with first my mother then my father, when all I really want to be doing is hiding in a dark place sleeping my worries away. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I have decided to have a traditional thanksgiving day. Just as my ancestors did, I will invite the neighbors over for a nice meal. Afterwards, I will kill them and steal their land http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

My ancestors (those that were not Cherokee, anyways) came to the US long after that all happened, so I have no possible source of guilt (not that you should feel at all guilty for things your ancestors did in the first place, but still). http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

well, i've never worried that i might be guilty about what someone else has done. but perhaps we should move this discussion to the phylosophy thread, if we're going to discuss it.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Yes, this is true. It's a town called Americana. I don't know if there's anything interesting to see there, it's probably just another small town, although one with an interesting origin.
