Ok, whoever selected "other", what are you growing??? I havta know!

Slick.

p.s. darnit! I wanted to add "too young" as a choice to the poll.

p.p.s. out of 18 people so far, I am the only one with a mustache!!! I find that statistically surprising.

I bet most of those 5 with beards also have mustaches. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Re: OT: stache, goat, female, ...

I ticked other.
I've been through my goatee phase, and also my "shaggy from scooby doo" phase, and for the Last 6 months or so I've been experimenting with the outrageously silly "quarter-inch wide stripe from bottom lip to chin" look, which is actually quite trendy round here at the minute.

One of these days I might re-goatee myself and then shave it into a "Ming the Merciless", just for a laugh. I've also found myself pining more and more for enormous student-style sideburns.

[aside]Why do I get the feeling this thread (or even this post) might be what it takes to draw the great Kat out of lurkdom?[/aside]

I've been thinking of expanding into a "Paul Sr." from http://www.orangecountychoppers.com/

not that I have that much grey hair, mind you.

Am I the only one with sideburns? (Not counting those with beards)

I've thought about growing a goate but just haven't done it yet.

Well I had a mustache for a while but considering I have blonde hair it didn't show up to much so I shaved it off....since then I've shaved a couple of times a week and rarely ever even let myself get 5 o'clock shadow.

Some people have bad facial hair. I have a mockery of facial hair, it is sparse, wiry, and stays under my jawline between the burns and the chin. They call it The Billo Halo.

So I shave, and it's the right thing to do.

well, i did go with 'none' for no sideburns or beard, but i only bother to shave once a week. so it might be called a beard with sideburns, but none of the hairs get very long and it's an unoficial one.

the scruff grows in pretty quick if i dont shave every day, but i can often get away with it since its blond and does not show very much.

sometimes over long vacations i grow 'mutton chops' or sideburns with a mustache, ah-la Lemmy Killmister. purely as a lark or to appear as ridiculous as possible while in the wilderness, it never Lasts more than two or three weeks.

I was a little surprised that SJ had a 'stache - but then again I've been surprised by the real appearance of everyone on the forum that I've met or seen pictures of. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

I think S_J once commented that he looked like his avatar- back when he used the "biggles" pic- so I wasn't surprised to learn he had growth.

I'm throwing my mexi-stache into the ring. Mustaches are under-represented. I'm surprised there are as many none's as the poll says. When I read this stuff I can only ever picture someone with bloodshot eyes and unkempt facial hair.

Re: OT: stache, goat, female, ...

I went with other. I shave when necessary, but since I am between contracts in my ongoing state of unemployment, I don't shave very often. This leaves me with anything from no facial hair to two-week scruff. You never can quite predict what I will look like on any given day.

Re: OT: stache, goat, female, ...

As my mornings are normally "Fall out of bed late, pull on nearest clothes and jump on bike" I tend to get increasingly hairy until the weekend when, realising I look like a tramp, I have a shave.

Rinse and repeat, for the next few weeks anyway.
