I have updated the AST Mod with the help of Aiken, and Atrocities.

The newest Version, 1.9.7 is about 12.5 megs and I strongly suggest that you back up your old AST mod folder as this newest Version WILL hurt your saved games.

The new patch and FULL Version of the mod are one in the same. The mod no longer includes the FQM D requirements, nor does include any of the IMAGE MODS. You can get the latest Image Mods from www.spaceempires.net or a mirror from that site.

It is strongly recommended that you install the latest Image Mods into your BASE Space Empires Pictures Folder in the correct locations prior to playing the AST mod.

(Planets go in the Planets folder, Components in the Components file, etc.)

Thank you guys for this update. Playing AST is a lot of fun.
But I can't download latest patch from http://www.astmod.com/zips/AST.rar http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif It says, "404" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
Btw, is it full Version or 1.9.7 patch? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

It is a self exstracting installation program. Just direct the install to your Space Empires Folder.

I will download and fix the web page now.

Hello Atrocities, I am playing AST & Gold-D-2 mode http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif .I am having a lot of fun with both.I also like the romulan ship designs of the AST mode.

Meam AST newbie since yesterday. I wonder if anyone could ever use all the existing mods in detail (in one lifetime). Downloaded the new interface look from Kevin Arisa also, patch, new mod and new interface - another game...

I know what your saying. I have played most mods with a few exceptions. I like what they all have to offer, but since I play so little of SEIV any more, I focus my game time on the mods I am working with.

Time to play even when you have all the time in the world is hard to come by. It is amazing at how quickly a day can go buy.
