A bunch of people at my work are playing, and they all seem to love it. The character creation is supposed to be amazingly cool.

I've been playing since it was released, and it's a lot of fun. All the good parts of EQ without all the tedium and annoyances, in my opinion.

And these days, who wouldn't want the opportunity to stomp on some evil.

I got it Last week and play on liberty server.--Its a load of fun--especially if your into the super-hero/ comics genre. Character creation is amazing-- you can really make a custom looking character with it. Its really a good game for casual play--very action oriented and Not a timesink like EQ is. You go on missions -- or can group up and such.

I will play it for a few months-- id like to try out other character models and powers, so. Id also like to see what the first expansion will be like.

Even if my interest in City of Heroes fades after a few months, that's still more entertainment than most games out there. After what I said Last night I got it today. It took me like an hour or two just to get my Avatar how I liked it. Was slightly dissapointed at writing my history. I was half way through writing when I ran out of space. I had to go back and cut out bits so I could fit a truncated history in. I've just played for 3 hours (I had to log off to let someone else use my computer) learning slowly. First mssion took ages until I discovered how to jump so I didn't need to walk around half the city. I thought you couldn't use famous characters, but I saw a "Dark Phoenix" run past me.
I have followed the development for months and ordered it the day it came out. Heres some links I've been reading.

My life would disappear in an instant though. But the comic book... in-game events will get turned into an actual motnhly comic. Incredible.
Personally though I'd want to be a supervillain. Too bad the game doesn't let you.. be... oh, what's this?

Unfortunately I just discovered I won't get the comic because I don't live in North America. Oh well, tomorrow is Comic day I'll have to ask my local store if they can get it. Either that or order from the US.

anyway, I have created an account and downloading the client right now. Hopefully I will meet some of you guys Online.

I will most likely be on the Virtue server, having heard some good things about it.

I had my first real team up just now. I have teamed up with 2 or 3 people before. But today wow. There were like 10 of us. First we ran along the road in Perez park cutting down gang after gang. Then we went into the park itself and were cutting down Thorns left and right. If you were at the back, too bad, all the bad guys were dead by the time you got to the front. Eventually we got to the lake in the middle of the park where there are spawns everywhere. Eventually we tried to get out through Gaiman forest and were ambushed and defeated. I made 2 levels in the same session.
