Image Packs-YAY!

Well, I was creative, and made some Monster images for DO. Most of them, are edits of some of the original monsters, but the 2 Spider People, and the Swarm images, are completely my own. Wellokay, the Spider person was a mish mash of original images, but Its so different, it realy isint a edit.

I hope to get more Monster images out later.

BTW did you know that DO is capable of showing animated monsters? your swarm would look good with a bit of animation and a nice buzzing sound to go with it.

Also, monsters can be any size, am I right?

Normal monsters should'nt be bigger than this -monster size- (made by David Gervais in a previous post). However there can be bigger monster like the boss in the crack of doom, but im not very sure how we can make them.

Actually the max size for a monster is 54x54, the sample pic in the previous post is to show the placement of 32x32 monster tiles within the 54x54 limit. (You must also bear in mind the 'v' shaped diamond boarder in the bottom right and left corners.) So the max size for a monster is something like this..

In this example the green area is for the monster/object. (the purple-pink represents the placement of other tiles.)

Is DO capable of animations?
I've seen references to that in the text files, but they didn't seem to work. I'm almost sure that animation is disabled in the current Version, and that this is mentioned in one of the files.

-Catapaults(a Catapault, a Ballista, and a Bone Catapault(think something the Armies of the Endless Darkness of the Flaming Pits of Hell would use. The AEDFPH!))

-Some Demons(Incubi, Succubi, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Demon Princes, and Demon Lords, oh, and maybe one of Bulzeeb, god of Darkness)

-An Animated Swarm(assuming I can figure out how to make it animated, and that DO will use it properly.)

Oh, and on a side note, I may try my hand at Tile making next. Arkanor, my Fantasy mod being worked on before SE DO thingie, calls for some Industrial tiles, for the ruins of the ancient Spider kingdom. Think Dwemer/Dwarven ruins in Morrowind.

I made an Item Pack but for some reason, File Uploading seems to be disabled. In any case it has a golden sword, a purple sword, a Demonic sword, and some nice Lightsa- Beam Swords.

The Force is strong in this pack.

Uploading is disabled in most forums. However, it is enabled in the New Scenereo/Mod Forum, and the link uploading produces can be used anywhere on the Boards, such as here.

I know that. I am saying that when I tried to upload in the New Scanario Forum it said:
HTML is enabled.
UBB Code is enabled.

File Uploading is not allowed in this forum.

Great work on the pictures http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif . Can I use your revenant picture from the first imagepack for my upcoming mod? It will have some creepy graveyard scenes, and the revenant picture would fit in great.

About the monster animations, I finally checked, and the DungeonOdysseyDataFileFields.PDF file in the docs subdirectory indeed mentions that the data fields for animated terrain and animated monsters are disabled in the current Version http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif . I checked this for the animated terrains and was indeed unsuccesfull in getting them to work.

.. world peace? I don't think there is such a creature, people are too caught up in 'the past' they are still trying to alter history by todays actions.

..as to what I have lying around on my HD, I'll take a look and see what I can find..

P.S. I just scanned my HD and as far as I can tell all my most recent work has been posted here, the workscreens, new terrain, armor, cliffs etc. I just did the vulture recently on a whim. I might do some more stuff, you never know.

We have Double Bladed Lightsabers like Exar Kun and Darth Maul, and we also have Dual Lightsabers...like...uhh two lightsabers in one image. Like in KoTOR and that evil chick in Bounty Hunter.

In addition to fantasy graphics and futuristic graphics, both of which will usually be found in one of my mods, either my Fantasy one Arkanor, or my Sci-Fi SE-The Odyssey which is currently on hold, I am working on compiling some Final Fantasy images for the next mod.

Seeing as how the visual style changes from game to game, I shall try and get most if not all of my images from V and VI and I will include the ones that are most known for being in FF like

-The Classes
-Chocobos
-Mogs
-Cactrot
-Airship
-Maybe a few of the Summons
