Starfury

How many of you are going to buy it once it comes out? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Re: Starfury

I am going to wait till I can learn more about it from the Beta Testers (hopefully they will be able to talk about closer to its release) or once it comes out and somebody else plays it (maybe even the demo) There are some potential things that could make me want to not buy this game if implemented/not implemented. A big one being multiplayer, lack of modibility in certain areas, and various other small things.

"Is there actually any other new things compared to SEIV except graphics?"

It is a completely different type of game..

You know, I was planning on buying it immediately and then realized my cpu may not be able to handle it! I think my video card won't be able to manage the 3D coolness of this new game. Hmm...maybe it's time to buy a new cpu.....

I haven't really investigated this matter. Is there actually any other new things compared to SEIV except graphics?

Buy Immiditatly!!

MM has won me as a dedicated fan of whatever is produced... so far.

Now that I think about it, about 85-90% of my computer gaming is either SE4 or Dungeon Odyssey...

Re: Starfury

I was planning on buying it right away. But I may have to wait until I can get a new PC. This one could handle it as far as processor speed and memory, it's the 3D card I don't think could take it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Don't visit the website for awhile, and look at all the interesting things I missed. I'll definitely have to get Starfury, since I prefer RPG games as much as I do the 4X games. The only thing I'm not sure about is this A.5 graphics that's mentioned on the specs. I'm still getting used to my new computer, and not sure if that's something my video card can handle. I know it can do DirectDraw and OpenGL, but I haven't heard of A.5. Anybody know what that means?

Ragnarok and Mephisto have already answered my concerns in another thread.

I just got done pre-ordering it. With the $5.00 off for pre-order, it's only $37.00 shipped. Compared to the prices of other games, this is a bargain. For those of you who would like an opinion before buying, stay tuned and I will tell you how great it is.

I probably will read reviews, check out features, etc. before buying. It's looking pretty good from the screenshots though http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Asian ship sets? How would shipsets made by someone from Asia be any different from anyone else's shipsets? Heck, how are Asian naval vessels any different from anyone else's naval vessels? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

maybe it is a typo and the reference was to the "Aslan". A race from the Traveller tm Role-Playing system. Just a guess.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Easy, have you seen the old historical design of asian vessels? Slightly different, yet just as good, I was thinking of creating, with a flair of asian culture, I have a few ideas, and hope to try them out.
