Favorite map?
Your favorite map tells a lot about what kind of game you like to play, yes?
Mine would have to be Miirunst. It has that board game feel, and the three level stuff is awesome. It gives a whole new layer to the game. Actually, two more layers to the game. Orania is also fun, simply because all the AIs can play on it. Good stuff. |
Re: Favorite map?
I'm a big fan of the Earth map, myself. Could use a bit more ocean play, though.

Re: Favorite map?
at the moment I'd have to say Talis because I enjoy quick one-on-one games vs. a single AI pretender.

Re: Favorite map?
I like Orania, as well. As you said, lots of provinces and AI's. Rather exciting because you never know who you will run into next. Need flexibility to be able to deal with the various nations.

Re: Favorite map?
For some reason most of the maps arnt pleasing to my eyes. I prefer Aran or The Desert Eye. Inland is of the same quality but man is that map big.
Anyone know who did the 3 maps I mentioned above? I know they shipped with the game but im finding the game has WAY TO FEW maps of that quality. Were those made with the in game map editor? GIMP won't save tga files on my computer without crashing. Oh well, I guess my kewl map of Crusades-era Europe shall have to stay a thing of imagination . . . nevermind that Dominions won't load tga files for me either. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
