Battle Frame Rate very slow

This may have already been addressed but...

Here are my systems specs:

Windows 98SE
Intel 1.4 GHz Pentium 3 Processor
RAM 512
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600

Problem:
When using the benchmark test the fps rate drops below 1 and battle sequences cannot be viewed.

Yes, I should've mentioned that I've the latest drivers from nvidia, I've tried switching to lower monitor resolutions and I've tried setting the in-game video settings as low as possible.

My guess is that your OpenGL installation isn't working properly. You could try another opengl game to see if that is the case.

Re: Battle Frame Rate very slow

Ok, so this pretty much looks like a driver or platform specific issue eh? No one else is running into the frame rate issue?

After installing new drivers, btw, I noticed the framerate test would go all the way up to around 45 then basically just crash and not redraw the screen properly.

I'm pretty sure my box runs other OpenGL things but maybe it's just my system.

Thanks!

Ok, I've upgraded my Win 98 to Win XP and I've installed the new nVidia drivers for Win Xp/2000. There are OpenGL settings from within the display option in control panel.

I still cannot view battle sequences as the frame rate is far too low. Hrmph...

Maybe you can do a Dxdiag and print the report and send it to Illwinter at info@illwinter.com?

Did you try turning off sound?

Hi,

Thanks for hitting this list back so much. Ok, I'm back to thinking it's something with my system since the screensaver which is graphic intensive is displaying with a very slow frame rate as well. My harddrive is almost full also...

Gonna get a bigger one...

Thanks again!

Maybe your virtual memory has something to do with it?

Ok, it smees like it was some setting somewhere deep within the bowels of my OS. Everything's cool now!

Thanks!

Heh heh, of cousre I maent seems!! Anway after I wrote the message, the frame rate was back to crappy. A friend suggested the video card might be loose. I checked and not only was it loose, the fan on the side of it was kinda blocked from another card. DOH! DOH!
