I'd like to join as Marignon. This is my first attempt at MP, can someone give me quick and dirty as to how this will work? I've read Posts on PBEM, but this looks different and I didn't see any relavent topics by searching. Or could someone point me to the right Posts? Any help would be appreciated.

It doesn't do anything? I thought that was how the "points of interest" were calculated. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I love that feature. Much easier than checking each game individually.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">It'd be an even cooler feature if you added the port number to the display. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I mention this because it should be trivial, as you already display it in the other pages.

Hmmm. Would it be possible to also show how long ago the new turn started? Check the system date against the date of the .trn files, let people know which they have to move fast on. Mainly an issue only on the quickhosted fast (12 hour) games.

Anyways - thanks for putting up a great set of pages and server mechanism! It provides the means for much MP enjoyment, and is greatly appreciated.

[Edit - BTW, nice to see you get a chance to join one of the games you host. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ]

The scripts I use to monitor games were crashed because I had upgraded the underlying software (and deleted the old Version).

I've restarted Dry Lands. Thanks for the heads up!

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">I know I'll be looking to upload the Cradle map and instigate a game with it; but as I am now moving about 2000 miles in two weeks, I figure I shouldn't start any new games - I expect to be offline as much as a week or two.

My move only solidified about 2 weeks ago, else I wouldn't be in the games I am.

But I assure you - I appreciate the feature, and look forward to taking advantage once I find a place in New Mexico and settle in.

Oh, ok. Sorry to sound so, it was just strange with the lack of responses.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Heh. Compared to the Last 22 years (since I left backwoods Maine - very very very cold, and worse when it isn't summer http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ) the winter will be colder, and the summer hotter. Southern California, Florida, and southeast Asia have all been quite warm.

But New Mexico (southwest part of continental USA) has great food, very spicy, nice architecture, arts and culture; I think I'll enjoy it. Be nice to be around family again, especially for the holidays.

As long as I can find a decent place to stay, a job, and a decent internet connection. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
