SHRAPNEL GAMES and THE-BATTLEFIELD.com decided to start a big and the 1st Multiplay Tourney for Dominions II to introduce new Players to the first Season of the Dominions 2 Ladder (hosted by the-battlefield.com )

TOURNEY SETTINGS:

Until now, the final settings arent fix. What will be sure is, that we will use the Ladder/Tourney Engine : http://www.the-battlefield.com . So if you want to play in the Tourney, get a FREE Account there ! To join the tourney, additionally post the following details about you in this forum :

GET YOUR FREE BATTLEFIELD ACCOUNT (BF Name) : HERE

1) Your Battlefield Member Name
2) Your email
3) Your Time Zone
4) Instant Messengers when available

We need those information to make sure that we will have a successfull tourney. SO please dont forget anything of the asked details !

Just wanted to add that we're right now in the process of figuring out a start time. We'd like to give everyone enough time to spread the word, and also iron out some details, so watch for news on the official start date.

I might be interested, depending on the map and settings. I don't have a consistently reachable email, and do not use IM, but can be reached by PM on these Boards, or on the irc.gamesurge.net #dominions channel, where I'm more or less a constant fixture.

Is the prize Online and transferrable? I have no need for it, but I think it would make a good present for somebody I know if I win.

To answer the questions about START DATE and MAP we play :

We are currently discussing those terms, but we need your help. Which MAP should we play ?

The MAP shouldnt be to big and fair for all.

I just opened a THREAD where we discuss which map is the best. Please reply there !

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">That won`t be a problem. We have a RANDOM GENERATOR at the-battlefield.com site. So people chose a color and the random-gen will see who won by random choice.

Any chance of seeing a history of events and/or screenshots of the map once every 4 turns or so ?? Would be great to witness the games in action !

You could use the --scoredump and putup the html scoreboard. Not watching but close. And Im sure someone could write something to take those and show pregression.

i wish you many LUCK in TOurney. and i have now a copy (an orginal) from DOM2, will start playing and when i have fun, i'm open for Tourneys and LADDER here on Battlefield

Am I missing something? I still haven't found any clue how the game(s) are going to work. Once a day? Every couple of days a few hours? Every day through all the weeks?

If it is in a reasonable timeframe (definitely excluding weekends and thursday evenings), I'm in.
