Divine Armaments ???

In one of the Liga guides I saw this "skill" (similar to regeneration, immortality and so on ...)

It's explained in the Liga's guide, but how to obtain this, I never saw it!!!

I've never seen it myself. But I do know that there are things on Liga's list that are special abilities/attributes of specific creatures. It may be that some specific unit has Divine Armaments, and no one else.

Divine armaments was a priestly spell of dom1. IIRC it is replaced by fire blessing lvl 9.

Fire 9 blessing doesn't give extra damage against undead though.

Did divine armaments do that?

Re: Divine Armaments ???

So it seemed.
Perhaps it's the wat to withstand an ermorian SG, with all those ethereal units, assuring the time you got a successfull strike, you kill it!

(well, if it added fire damage etherealness was bypassed, but if you add it to Dom2 only for undead enhancing damage)

Re: Divine Armaments ???

Well, Unholy Priests have "Unholy Power" that enhances the effects of their troops ... I believe Holy too need something more than blessing (Unholy too has blessing, and the morale enhancing spells aren't compared since Undeads doesn't flee easily if not at all)

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Btw Kristoffer - could you tell me pls how exactly fire-9 blessing and other similar "fire-enchntement" spells work? I've heard it is counted by game engine as a additional and separate AP attack with str 8, not an "upgrade" of existing melee attack? Is it indeed so? And what about units that have several attacks (2 weapons, weapon and hooves, etc)?

Re: Divine Armaments ???

IIRC it's an additional attack, separate of the weapon one.

In case of flagellants, with flail (2 attacks), for every attack striking there's the additional fire attack.

The question I pose it's:
If I've a longer weapon and I do repel damage, the enemy takes a full Fire 8 AP damage since it's a special attack?
It's the same for other flaming type weapons even if not blessed (like the Demon Whip?)

Re: Divine Armaments ???

Repell will never deal more than 1 p damage.

Fire blessing is one extra 8 AP hit if the primary attack hits. A hero with 4 attacks (2 sword of swiftness perhaps) will get up to four additional 8 AP hits.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">What about, say, sacred carrion beasts? If they have 2 sleep vine attacks, each of which gets 3 swings, plus a regular attack, is there the potential for 7 additional 8 AP hits? I may have to start doing Carrion Woods with a fire 9 blessing - if nothing else, a carrion lord prophet would be devastating.

(And the Carrion Dragon knows, CW could use a little help.)

Great, thank you Kristofer. I've been a bit concern about possibility of horses with "flaming hooves", etc., it's good that you have separated it from the primary attacks (with weapons). BTW does missile weapons such as bows, jevelins, are considered to be primary one for the purpose of fire 9 blessing?
