2nd Dom2 Tourney
 

Hey folks !

The 1st Dominions 2 Tourney is finished and it was a great success !

SO if you are interested in a nice Tourney feel free to post the need Information about you here and we will keep you up to date concerning start and settings of the tourney.

SETTINGS like game modus and more will be decided later. The Tourney will be hosted by the-battlefield.com and mosehansen gaming server.

I might be interested, but this depends on the tournament: Who, when, how. It'd be nice to have something a little bigger than just another one-on-one tournament.

Lets have a team tournament! Two player teams, straight elimination. The game dinamics would be very interesting - do you take a booster/payload approach, do you go for rush mobbing, etc...

I for one would love something like this. So, here is my suggestion:

o Two player teams, races set for the whole tournament.

o Points awarded depending on the elimination time of each enemy. I.e. both killed on turn 25 is worse than one killed on turn 10 and one killed on turn 30.

o Straight team elimination

But please, please, please, do not start it before the 30th on June! :-) On the other hand, definitely start it before the present one is over, I did not manage to sign for it.

So what kind of format are we looking at? Big FFA deathmatch, or some other undecided format? The 2v2 team thing doesn't seem to be panning out.

Please take me and Yvelina out of the tournament.
We may have been able to play a 2x2 tournament,
but we have learned to stay out of FFA the hard
way. And how is a FFA a tournament anyway?
I call it a game.

If you want you can try explaining why a 2x2
straight elimination team tournament makes no
sense. I thought that entering the contest as a
team would work.

The problem is to arrange teams and usually making the working well toghether.

Not all people know the gaming partner in real life as you and Yvelina, so there could be big problems already inside the team.

A team tourney, I believe it could be very interesting, but this would mean you've to prepare starting to play team games (I don't see any of them since Dom2 in suited to 1 winner only, but players could take agreements before the game starts), starting some month ago 3 or 4 games at least, outside of the tourney, with his future tourney mate.
