Healing question

The healing ability (Ho Hsien-Ku from Tien Chi) affects commanders that are in the same province as the caster or just non-commander units? Can I use it to heal battle afflictions from my SC?
Thanks

Re: Healing question

it should affect all units + leaders in the province iirc .

so you can heal your sc too . it might take some time though because iirc the chance is not too high to remove an affliction .

so if you have 3-4 afflictions on your pretender i think it will take at least 5 turns to get rid of .

i have not too much xp with healing though because i prefer at the moment immortal scs or at least undead scs and at the moment i like troops + mages more anyway .

If it works like an Arco Priestess (which it well might... but the devs could say for sure), it won't heal anything that's lifeless IIRC. Other than that, heal away.

According to her description, Ho Hsien Ku heal works the same as an Arco Priestess.

I've been partial to Tien Chi S&A, and have used her a lot to good end. Boron is correct, in that it will take a number of turns to get multiple afflictions healed (probably on a much greater ratio than 5/4, it often takes 4+ turns to get 2 afflictions healed).

I was recently asking similar questions on the following thread:

Lifeless or undead.

if you put multiple healers on the job, will they heal all your afflictions faster? (if each as a tiny chance of healing an affliction, is it a good idea to commit as many healers available to heal a highpriority SC of afflictions?)

In a game I am in as Arco, I called my god back from the dead and he had two afflictions. I put three priests on healing and they healed both afflictions in one turn.

Lucky? Yes, of course I was. But it did tell me that multiple healers stack quite nicely.

That's bad news http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

I was expecting to heal my undead SC. Is there any way I can do that?

You will need the Chalice or Gift of Health to heal undead or lifeless units.

Sheap is right. There is no other way.

Yeah, I'm in a game with a team of Banelords in the repairing bay under GoH, because priestess cannot heal them.

It could be nice to have an undead "healer" ... or an item healing undead ... or something similar, very costy however.

No, thank you. IMHO Tantarian factory is strong enough as it is, no need to make them more powerful. IIRC the healing of tantarians was the reason why the changes to priestess/Faery Queen healings were made in the first place, apart from thematic reasons.

I was under the assumption that undeads and lifeless units could be repaired at a lab.

Re: Healing question

That is the case only for magical beings that also never heal - mostly these are things like crushers and wooden constructs. Undead that have "never heals" really never heal at all.
