Currently havibg a real problem. Noone is able to select a antion to play , i have the bittons for all antions set to human at a loss as what to try next.

I went to the upload page, and everthing looked fine, though I didn't test an actual upload.

Could you publish your intended game specs? Right now it looks like research difficulty is set to 2 (which I'd guess is hard?)

Yes the game is working fine . As for specs indies are set to 9, research is hard, magic sites to 50, its a vp game every capital is worth one and 12 randon sites. Orania map looking for at least 12 .

It may be best if I withdraw for two reasons. Someone uploaded a pan pretender already and I am in enough games as it is. So let whoever loaded up the pan pretender play pan.

On making it a ladder game, it's your call and no big deal, either way. I think making it a ladder game means that you have to be registered on battlefield.com, and then you post a thread saying that you're starting a ladder game. Then when the game is done, you post the results, which is then tracked by battlefield, along with results of all ladder games. Theoretically, all the players should be registered, but I don't think that's a critical requirement. I think they're a bit vague about how to handle FFA results appropriately, but that's not our problem http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

IMO, the result is that the Dom2 community gets access to a bigger player pool, and we get the benefit of a site to track the history of our games.

Making it ladder game is easy.. i have play like 100+ ladder game in Age Of wonders serier

First you need to get all players to register to www.the-battlefield.com... it will take only 1-2min to do it and you get free account

after all have register we play game and have fun. After game winner of game go to report game... he tell all game info(map size, number of players, indie strength and players name) then we will get points to ladder... good thing is that you dont lose any points if you lose.. you can only get points.

after first season 3 best players will get prize!!!


so what other think should we make it ladder game?

How many players are you looking for Frosted? I haven't uploaded yet, as I'm still testing Caelum SP, but I can do so at short notice, if it looks like we're going to go.

I'd love to see us get 14+ players, especially given that we're on Orania - but I think we've got just 7 now (including me). Anyone have any ideas on how we can get more players in?

I would love to play but only up to Sep 7 (unless I can get a sub until I'm back home on the 21st)... also I'm quite n00bish...
Just letting ppl know the interest is definitely out there; it's just harder to get a game going than logging on to Battlenet or something like that... but I'm hoping D2 MP is more rewarding, of course!

I suppose I should not enter yet another MP game, lol. I suppose I also ought to play a race that I at least have some decent SP experience with.

But then again, I suppose I am hooked on this game. So what the heck!

I will try my hand at Mictlan. I did play it once in SP on the the first day as my first race after I installed the game. I remember getting whipped bad by two normal(!) AIs and thinking that Mictlan was a lousy race. I mean, those wimpy national troops you can recruit are weak as all get out. And my dominion seemed to crawl outwards at a ridiculously slow rate (I didn't even know about blood sacrifices, haha).

So, I might as well give ol' Mictlan another try and see how she goes. I will work on a pretender and upload tonight or tomorrow.

Counting me, who still has yet to settle on a Mictlan pretender, there are nine players in the game. Since Orania is too large a map for this number, then I suppose this ought to mean one of two things:
1. We are waiting for more players, or
2. We should change to a smaller map.

Anyway, I do promise to upload a pretender before the end of today.

Well, my intention was to be in 3MP games by this weekend, and since I hadn't heard from Frosted, I decided to start my own smaller game. Which does mean I'll have to withdraw from this one http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif Sorry!

I would love to play a game with a very large number of players in Orania, so if this game is still open next week, I might opt back in (OTOH, if I were you guys, I'd vote for starting sooner with your existing group on a possibly smaller map).

I'd vote to start now on Cradle of Dominions Map. Our number (9 or 10) should be ok for that map. It would be fun to play this weekend...maybe with QH we can get in a bunch of turns?

Of course, all it takes is one person to be gone and you don't get in a lot of turns. Plus the time zone issue. But still, the early turns in a game can easily go twice per day, whether weekend or not.

Now that we have 13 uploaded pretenders, plus a water race (thanks to navrunner!), then Orania is no longer too big.

I see no reason to change it at this point. Might as well start it Sunday morning, Frosted Flake.

I clicked on jotunheim not my own position...and as i have the master password i opened the position of another player ...who had already taken his turn...ive sent him a message and apology to redo his turn.
