rate of the construction
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif I’m looking for a formula on how the rate works in this game. If a planet has [100% Min] [100% Org] [100% rad] how does the rate get determined in the construction....?

Re: rate of the construction
Construction of facilities, ships, etc. is not affected by planetary value. Only resource production from facilities or remote mining components (as long as there is no colony on the planet) are affected by value. If all you have on a planet is a mineral miner, the production is (mineral miner production) * (min value / 100).

Re: rate of the construction
That can’t be right...I deleted every Facility on the planet and system and it still showed Rates at the construction rate . I was looking for a way to get a grasp of how the game comes up with population and rate in the construction area, and it made no sense on how it comes up with those numbers.

Re: rate of the construction
You get a base 2000 construction rate with no facilities. Space Yard facilities can increase the construction rate.
Note that there is a huge difference between "construction" and "production." "Construction" refers to the rate at which you can build stuff per turn. 2000 minerals construction means that you can apply 2000 minerals to a project in one turn. "Production" refers to actually producing resources. Mineral Miners produce minerals each turn, for example. Construction and production are not interrelated, except in the sense that you have to be producing resources in the empire in order to be able to build anything. |
Re: rate of the construction
Go to your SE game and look at the Space Empires IV Manual. Look for the "Set Construction Queue" and youll see rates that say 2400 for all three. how do they get those numbers..? RATES

Re: rate of the construction
Does your empire have the Hardy Industrialist trait, and/or a bonus to Construction Aptitude?

Re: rate of the construction
You mean there is a base (2000) for all planats that have 100% or all planats have that as a base no matter what..? (the 2000)

Re: rate of the construction
As for population... it provides a percent bonus to construction rates and to resource production rates. You can see the bonus your planet gets by selecting the planet from the main game window and clicking on the Abilities tab.

Re: rate of the construction
ok Im getting it....So the 2000 is a base that all planets get and bonus are added to that...?
|
Re: rate of the construction
Yes.
And planet value has nothing to do with it. A tiny planet with 0% value and no SY will produce at 2000 minerals/orgs/rads per turn and so will a huge planet with 200% value. And then bonuses for population, racial traits, and SYs are added |
Re: rate of the construction
Quote:
Resource production is the total of all facilities that produce resources (Mineral Miners, Organic Farms, etc.), modified by bonuses from culture, racial traits, population, planetary value, etc. 100% value means that a facility that produces 800 minerals produces 800 minerals. 110% value means it will produce 880 minerals instead. |
