OT: 83 Pages
 

82 pages x 25 listings per page = 2050 members who have never posted.

There is nearly 83 pages of members who have never posted once even once on the forum. I have not counted the pages that have only 1 post by members, but I am sure it is quite high.

This is not an astonishing number, but it is high. I wonder why Shrapnel has not deleted those accounts that have never been posted too that are over a year old? I know that I would just to clean up the Member list.

Besides how much space and time does it take to keep an empty account running? So close to nothing that it may as well be is my guess

I have only read the forum for a very long time. There can be plenty of reason not to post : foreigner with little english (like me), all question already answered and little curiosity, lack of time, ...

Yeah as long as we have the space, I doubt we will want to purge those accounts. Some people do indeed lurk and may never post, some people lurk and may at some time decide to post, while some people lurk for a while and never come back. However we don't want to make anyone feel unwelcomed whether they post a ton or just lurk. I think you will find that this happens on a lot of boards unless they do regular purges of non-posting accounts and I just don't anticipate us doing that anytime soon.

I donno.. I posted a few times on the Starfury forum and then left my account here idle for a long, long time, rarely even logging into it. In fact, it may have even been a year or more.. I'm still pretty new here. I read mostly and when I have time I'll try and post. But reading is faster and less time consuming when you have assignments (even though what is less time consuming is not reading at all http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif).

I am talking about people who have never used their accounts. Not idle accounts, accounts that have 0 posts to them and are over a year old.

Brigadier Generals are so few and far between, you will be very lonely when you reach that rank RD. Besides, I believe there is no such thing as a Brigadier General in the UK military: you will therefore have to pick another title (Brigadier is still used in your military, I believe), or stick at your lower grade for a while longer. That, and I am obviously against seeing lower-ranked officers rising in the ranks.

On the same topic, you had 1581 posts a few days ago: at the same time, Growltigga had 1580 posts, and Mac 1579 posts. The infernal triumvirat of the Cantina was united once more in the user list; a shame it didn't last.

Don't forget AZ and Woundwort. Woundwort coordinates most of the B&G's military operations, and AZ is the liaison between the B&G and the Angel of Death.

To my surprise i was promoted to Sargeant recently.... it´s cool, but i liked the rank of Corporal as it was the rank i had achieved in the Brazilian Army when i did my obligatory military service...
