Only 26 here, so I think that puts me just under the average age here. I guess we'll see.

This should be interesting...any chance of making this a sticky for awhile so we can get alot of people to check this out and vote...?

20 Here (though I messed up my vote). I remember putting space empires 2 on the class computer when I was in 4th or 5th grade, and playing while I was supposed to be doing work...

At 28 or 30 votes, some values are at 1.03% That means one third of a person voted that section. Strange way of calculating percents.

It's good to know that I am average; in the 19-25 age group.

Actually that is .03% voting. The 1 in that figure is how many votes were given total in that section.

Well I'm 18 but people in person constantly confuse me for 20 something (which when you are trying to attrack 17-18 year old girls can get on your nerves in a hurry) lol

Narf probobly put other though I once put "male and for sexual orientation lesbian" on a different survey http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Actually, that's just the most common age group. The average age, assuming the people in each group average out to the center of the range and using 60 for the geezer, is right on 30.

Hey Happy birthday. I'd say go and get drunk, but I probably shouldn't encourage law breaking.

That's co-incidence. I've spent the last two weeks going over a Minnesota iron/steel project. Two more weeks to go....

happy birthday CW, stop in at the Bar and Grill and I'll treat ya to a sassperella or two on GT's Tab http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif However, the lap dance by a FBW is out, so we'll just have GT do a pole dance instead http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Sj, yes I know, however, only 52 have voted in the age area, now I know that more then that have viewed this thread, and, ahem, I'm sure some of them may be "Geezers in Lurking" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif I just wonder who the 2 "others" are, if they are not male nor female, but are an Other, does that make us dithers? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Geezers in Training = GIT's. not politically correct.

It’s a sense of humor thing.

You would have gotten the same results if the poll had been.

1. Human
2. Duck
3. Other

Except you may have gotten more #2s.

El_Phil May 5th, 2005 10:56 AM

Re: User Ages

Honesltly I'd have been more surprised if we got any #2s on this survey. I mean others was expected, any females would have actually shocked me.

Saber Cherry perhaps? She did come to the SEIV forums in the past. Or maybe Xanthea? I have been told there were other women playing PBW in the past, but I have no proof of that.

others could be "Aliens" You know we could have been secretly invaded by "others" just so they could play seiv and really rule the universe, wonder what they look like? could they be FBW Clones? could clones be considered "others"?

I also see that in the voting, there is at least one other person approaching GeezerHood. about time another showed up http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Just saw this thread http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. Thought I should add my 2 cents at soon to be 25. I don;t know why you guys are suprised at female bing here, honestly I'm surprised there aren't more.
I've known lots of women who play video games. Maybe someone should put up a woman bashing thread..that'd lure them out to complain http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif...I'm joking of course please don't send me any hate http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif mail!

Re: User Ages

That's cool. I would think many girls/women would not be up front about that on a public forum just so that they won't have to deal with the immaturity found in so many places. Personally I wouldn't blame a female for not mentioning it or even pretending to be a guy just to fit into a pretty much male-dominated arena.

I think you'll find this place a fun, mature (most of the time) and extremely helpful place to visit. Not just for the game, people on this forum have asked for and got pretty good advice on everything under the sun including some very troubling personal problems.
