Anyway Question 1:
You've made soooo many trek shipsets that it's just impressive I tell you! BUT one thing you've never done, How about you make a Terran Empire shipset!!! This way we can all play in the "evil" universe when we get our trek shipsets together in a game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Question 2:
The reason I'm asking this in public is so that if it's a yes everyone will get to check it out, could you host my Icaran and Anderman shipsets on your web site?

I have kicked it around for sometime, but never really saw a need to make a seperate ship set for this when any one could make one out of the existing sets that are now available.

I would be happy to host them, but to be honest Spaceempire.net is a far better selection since that site is souly dedicated to Space Empires and hosts other sets.

Terran Empire ships have a different paint job actually http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif so it's not as easy as one would think....

This is a common paint scheme as the other Terran Empire starfleet ships seen or the wreckege thereof have yellow paint schemes on their hulls.

Except of course they had the yellow paint jobs similar to that of the ISS enterprise.

Anyhoo the only reason the ORIGINAl ISS Enterpise (I.E TOS era) was not given the paint job the crew wanted was because they were waaay to cheap back then.
Originally the "ISS" enterprise from TOS was supposed to have a similar "Dagger through Earth" on the foward hull and a darker paint scheme with more flared highlights to make it look different.

There are extra downloads and such so ask Todd Z. in the forum at this site about where you can download them from.

Also do a search, I posted a lot of good info on the program here on the boards some time ago.

You will want DOGA L3 version - also be sure to register it to get the full benefit of the program and to help support newer versions.

I actually plan to make Terran Empire ships for SE5. I'm lazy and couldn't be bothered making them for SE4 if I would be soon doing SE5. I have schematics from a website for all the known Terran empire ships (albeit most of them are made up, considering the dearth of information)

I don't know if I am going to make ship sets for SEV or not. Right now I am very discouraged with the idea of doing so and well, if others are going to be making them, why should I try to re-invent the wheel so to speak? Like with Star Fury, the polygon count has to be kept very low, so most of the detail has to be in the textures. Something that I am not good at... yet.

Now I know I missed quite a few DS9s, mainly due to the pub calling me, so it's possible I missed it. But I am damned sure I would have remember the lesbian alliance if I had seen/heard of it.

They used it to show how "Degenerated" the other Universe was so in a sense they showed that "if you have a heavy british accent your a peasent" sort of thing lol.

The way I look at it the DS9 one is a slightly different Alternate universe where a slightly alternate kirk visited. Thus the DS9 people aren't interacting with the universe their Kirk visited but a different one. I actually hunted down a copy of "Dark Mirror" to find some of the background fluff (or at least one authors view of it)

Thanks.. Fixed the ship mix up thing so they all display now.

When the ships are rendered as mini's they will not show the detail all that well.

How far do you want me to take this? I can make an entire set + neo - standard, but that might mean I will need to include some TOS ships as well like the Enterprise 1701 and such.

If that is ok then I will do so.

As far as TOS ships go actually you'd have Pre-Tos like the good Ol' Daedelus class and the predecessor to the Connies like the Soyuz and Miranda classes.

But that would be okay as well seeing a Connie as a Dreadnought!!! muahahaha

The thing is, aside from you, there is no other interest that I can see for this ship set. Lets face it, my last four federation sets were not well received. I will toy around with this one for a while. (Offically I am not making new sets for SEIV, so this will have to be an expanded set for use with STM - Offically if ever completed)

I still have five sets finished but not yet released that were for the contest last year. I am waiting on the winner to choose his set so I can release them.

And as Narf said you can barely throw a brick without hitting a Feddie ship set, really variable quality of course, but there are still loads of them.

Working up enthusiasm for a recoloured and slighty remodeled feddie ships set is tricky, although they do look excellent. Sorry.

Yes, picking one to use is difficult given there are so many.

"Fewer active players..." - What a shame.

I would love to see SEIV get an infusion of support perhaps a new patch or even more new players would be nice. But the chances for either are rapidly dwindling.

You know a lot of mainstream game developers could learn a great lesson from this. If the game is great, hold off on a sequil for five or so years and maximize the games potential before torpedeoing its success with a crappy *** sequil a year or two after its release.
