Star Wars episode III shipsets
Has anyone constructed one yet? I am just curious and the movie potentially spawns a new Republic shipset and a new Conferacy od Independent Systems shipset.

Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
I made a couple of ships for the Empire and sent them along to Intimidator.

Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
Hi, and welcome to the forums.
Uh, anyone know another way of saying that? |
Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
Oh thanks. I've playing SE4 for a while now. Been playing PBW for over a year now.
You know I have the old Star Wars mod but I yet to find it anywhere but PBW and no updates or anything. I am tempted to dauble myself but SE:V will soon be here and it will all change again. |

[Passenger starship PA system]
"Hello and welcome aboard the luxurious SEIV Forums. You will find everything you need to your right, and some random nonsense to your left. When the ship enters a warp point, fasten your seatbelts or you'll end up splattered all over the rear of the cabin. Thank You (jingle) [/Passenger starship PA system] |

There should be at least *one* sentence of interest in that lot. If not, you can always settle for the universal: *Glowers*, and the no less uncommon: Mind Thrust! |
Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
Ack on the Star Trek I wailed on 4 Borg worlds and when my fleet chased their through a jumpgate and the computer "You fleet took some damage." I'll say; my whole fleet was wiped out.

So I see you have the old starwars mod, do you also have the (canon) star wars map. I know there is one outthere, but can't find it anymore. So if you have it (or somebody else) please send it to me (intimidator5@hotmail.com) thanks |
Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
No I don't have it. I WANT IT!!!! ME, ME, ME!!!
Speaking of dangerous warp points I have only encounter them in Trek and Star Wars. Never in the original or B5 mods. |

Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
I'm all for danger!
Speaking of danger those space monsters in SE4 are nasty! Ouch! So do they have planets that they come from or do they spontantious generate from those little red warp points? I love the Star Trek 8 jump point hub system I just saw. Niftorific. Back to Star Wars: Atrocites I saw some of your Star Destroyer models. They were very cool. I am working on setting up PBW TC of either B5, ST or SW with some friends. Several have express a desire to play the Hutts. I have pushed them in the direction of Black Sun. I would argue that there are more Star Wars ships than either Babylon 5 or Star Trek. The variety is a bit under-utilized in the Star Wars mod I have. One more note. My real speciality is maps. I have absolutely tons of info on the Babylon 5, Star Wars and ot a lesser extent Star Trek universes. Of course a custom specific locked in map would only be able to be played a few times until everyone knew where everything was, but it would be kind of cool to get screenshots of turn by turn expansions on these maps. Yes I am volunteering if someone walks me through the process. |
Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
Thanks
The monsters were created by Rollo IIRC, just modified slightly for use with the STM. They have a hidden planet that they come from. Find it and presto..... you've got a target. I can post the Stardestroyers I do have ready but you ever downloads them would have to put them where they best fit. Any takers just PM with your email address. |
Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
Oooo, Please Do, they are quite nice.

Load the Map Editor with the mod you are making the map for (B5, SW, ST, whatever). Do NOT do so in the stock game, as your map will NOT work in any of these mods if you do. Set Path.txt or use the Mod Launcher in the same manner that you do to load the mods themselves. In the Mod Launcher, select Edit Maps instead of Load Game (or Mod, forget the button name). Using the map editor is fairly straightforward, though very tedious. To take screenshots, have the SE4 window in focus, then hit "alt + printscreen." This copies the current state of the active window into the clipboard as a bitmap image. Open some graphics program, such as MS Paint. Hit "ctrl + v" to paste the image. Save it as some sort of compressed image format, such as jpg or png. If all you have is Paint, you might want to get (free) IrfanView. You can save your image as a bitmap in Paint, then use IrfanView to convert it to JPG or PNG. It has far superior compression algorithms than MS Paint, resulting in less distortion and color loss (for JPG; PNG has no color loss if you save as 24+ bit). After you have your image, you will need to upload it somewhere. You can upload them directly to posts here, or use a service such as Image Shack to not overload Shrapnel if you are going to be making a large number of screenshots. Once you have the image loaded somewhere on the net, you can include it in a post by using the img UBB tags. There is an "Instant UBB Code" section beneath the post text field that makes this easy to accomplish. Note that this is not available with the Quick Reply form. You have to click on the Reply link near the top of the page. Make sure to use the Post Preview function to verify that all is in working order. |
Re: Star Wars episode III shipsets
How easy. I am working on it now. First I'll arrange the systems then remake them using the Galactic Guide by Mongoose publishing and throw in some gents of Gaming systems too.
