Oh and yeah those "Terran Empire" ships are evil versions of the Federation Starfleet so it's okay that they loosely resemble starfleet ships.

My favourites in the set are the transports with the strapped-down containers. Other highlights are the troops, especially those suave looking infantry, and the shuttles.

Sorry if this is considered necromancy or something but I just thought I'd report a bug (or maybe a feature?). In stock games, I noticed that the Terran Empire only puts TWO engines on their ships. While this results in slower ships they compensate with lots of weaponry. So is that a bug or not? (It works fine with the startrek mod from what I can see.)

The likely result is that the AI files included with the Terran Empire set are really intended for the Star Trek mod and not stock. In that case, the ship would be as you described, only a pair of engines and mostly weapons...

There are two sets of files. One for STOCK games, and one for Star Trek Mod. If the files for STOCK are not correct, which I will check, simply copy over files from the Terrans and use them.

Ok, the files are correct so I have to ask, are you playing a stock game, or using them in a mod? If you are using them in a mod are you using the MOD files or the STOCK files? If you are using the stock files in a modded game, back them up, and then copy/paste the MOD files. Good luck.

I am not a dumb ***, or at least not in this case http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif. The files are for stock. STM files are included but in a seprate folder.

The EMP files are for use with ONLY the STOCK games. The set come set up for use with stock games. For those who want to use the set with the STM, they will need to back up their STOCK data files and then copy paste the MOD files.

I would like to see what you did. Could you zip the set that is causing you problems and post it here?

I was really just guessing because of the two engine thing and the fact he said they worked okay with the Star Trek Mod - so I just assumed they were using the STmod AI files. I didn't even know you had stock files for them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

I don't know what he did but I would like to find out so I asked him to post his copy of the ship set. I want to be sure all is ok. Thanks for helping him CK. I was trying to make a joke and it came across poorly.

Hrm, I'll attach my copy when I get back to my Windows machine (I've been switching between the two(mac and pc) all night for family members and I need some coffee.

But yeah, I know for a fact I haven't changed the AI files for stock (Using them with Fyron's Q Mod) from when I downloaded it.


Oh, Atrocities, whoever wrote their speech files should be shot on charges of instigating wartime acts. I just glassed about fifteen planets (Just in this case meaning two hours ago) of theirs out of sheer loathing for their 'attitude'. ^_^

(I really am a Kind and Benevolant ruler, I mean, ask the Texrak, I ensla-errr rescued three hundred and thirty million of their kind from sheer destruction, oddly enough their new planet has been named 'Desolation' (Maybe it's their language for something?) And it has about fifty troops on it...)


Anyhow, Love the shipset, post the attachment when I can.

Bug Fix Download
Found the problem. Here is a Fix. I will update the download for the set tonight so that any one who downloads this set from this point forward will not have this problem.
