Hey, what's age anyways..we're still all kids at heart. I've been playing these type games since, well..lets just say Johnson was President...thats LBJ..not Andrew http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif Now that I have completed my 26 year term in the Army as an attack helo pilot (see..I even got to play real games and blow things up for a living), now I work on the Comanche program, get to fly the simulator weekly..more gaming..hehe..but the best part is, I get to work out of my house most of the time. So when I get tired of work..sitting here in my sweats gettin paid is certainly stressfull, I turn on a game or check the web. The funny thing is I don't really care for any of the flight simulators..I guess after really doing the real deal for so long, nothing can compare to it. But I do like SEIV and a host of others.

Since this is not a major election year, we are not so busy. So I get time to play. Oh, I'm 37.

I am 46, and have been playing wargames since the 60s. I got started on Avalon Hill games and was a lifetime Subscriber to S&T <sigh>. I too miss playing Panzerblitz...... On the road to SE IV, I started playing Stellar Conquest (board), moved on to Space Empires III (PC), then found SE III. I am a software test engineer in Virginia.

I must admit I am very suprised by the age of most players here. I really thought most of them would be in their teens-twenties.

Myself? I'm 22, married, work at Celestica - a leading EMS manufacturer. I work mostly on building high end server Boards for Nortel or Lucent. I'll be returning to University this year to study biology/chemistry in Toronto, Ontario, Canada - which is where I live by the way.

No Stalkers Please.

Does anyone know any girls who like to play? I've tried to play with my wife - but she can't keep her eyes open.

But I really think its time to do the school thing again and get a real job, gaming just won't support the old age pension http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon9.gif.

I do research for the US Army. I'll be 39 this summer. Wife and I just had our 5th child a few weeks ago. I'm thinking about returning to grad school.

Warning -- soapbox speech coming:
Age is definitely not just in the mind -- you have to push yourself harder as the years go by -- but most people let themselves get old too soon. They stop growing, and start dying. What a waste. If your goal in life is to retire early and goof off full-time, you'll be dead by 60. Or, if you're not, everyone will wish you were!

Nope, I already posted at 56. In addition, Greg Hacke posted that his mother, at 72, plays and follows this forum. She, however, has not posted claiming the title. I'm 28, married with a two year old boy and I am a mechanical engineer at an Architecture/Engineering firm in Des Moines, IA. Nice to see a broad range of people play this game, well, except women it would appear.

This is the only game I have played outside the arcade (15 years ago), with the exception of free cell or solitaire.
