Two Questions
 

1. What is this SEIV Deluxe I keep reading about? Is it released yet? What will it encompass? Where can I find more info?

2. What exactly is the Invasion mod about? I couldn't find a readme that describes what it does in general. I don't know if I'd be interested in playing it.

Technically that's 5 questions.

1. It's Strategy First's release of SE4
2. No, it is not released yet.
3. As far as I know, bug fixes.
4. Not much info as of yet.
5. Invasion! Really, it's just a modified stock, with quasi-newtonian propulsion.

3) Deluxe will also have a lot of updated mods on the CD.

5) Invasion includes monsters, leaky armor and shields, and definitely NOT quasi-newtonian propulsion. Lots of mounts too.

Has it truly been announced that Deluxe will fix some bugs?

I'd love to know if Deluxe would fix the satellite stacking issues, and finally allow them to show up around a planet, and not in a blob on the wrong side.

Well first thing Invasion! does not have QNP nor will it ever. Invasion! adds 2 new major race types. Monsters and Pirates. It also adds tons of new mounts, ships, units, weapons, facilities, events. The newest version of Invasion! includes the newest FQM Deluxe which greatly fixes many balance problems in the normal stock quadrants. Invasion! also takes advantage of the Image and Sound Mod packs which help add alot or varity to the look of the game.
Invasion! was the first mod to feature the planetary cloaking facility, its ships range from the scout to the worldship and then there are the advanced and pirate ship hulls. The also features leaky armor/shields and a new engine system that isn't used in any other mod.

There is a new Invasion! PBW game that is starting soon and I am looking for players. This should be the best game ever since it will include the pirate race.

There will also be a patch that will bring both SE IV Classic and Gold up to Deluxe version.

I doubt it will come out as planned. But fingers are crossed for a Sept release.
