Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
It says that Unholy priests can recruit ghouls here. I have my priest enter the site. But ghouls do not appear in the recruiting window? Any ideas? |
Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
Some sites allow you to recruit units; others allow your mages to summon units. I gather this site falls under the second category, so your mage will summon one Ghoul per turn spent with "Enter Site" orders.

but it has to be an unholy priest, mictlan sometimes gets one as a hero who shows up, other than that, only ermor gets unholy priests. ou can wish for one though)

*C'tis desert tombs has national unholy priest summon spells. *So does Carrion Woods Pangaea. *Almost any nation can get to Mound Fiends, which have unholy. *One of the Ice Devils has unholy magic. |
Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
yeah just discovered the joy of mound fiends last night (never really got into a undead heavy game, until last night)

Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
BF Ulm also has a hero (the Ghoul Baron) with unholy powers. U1, I think it was.

Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
I've never seen the ghoul Baron, but Mictlan as well has an Unholy Hero - Mictlipotli, the king of legends: 3D3B3U

Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
With BF Ulm, getting heroes is always dicey because of the misfortune, and the one you really want especially early on anyway is Burkhard, the vampire hero. It doesn't get much better than when on turn 2 this guy shows up and you can just toos him at indies. A full vampire lord minus the magics, but equipped with full plate mail, great sword and all the vamp immunities and other abilities, he eats armies for breakfast.
The Ghoul Baron is the most useless of them all, mapmove of just 1 and all he can do is reanimate ghouls. I had occasion to dig this guy up via scripting when I did the Unit DB. Mictllipoctli, now there's a hero with altogether a lot more usefulness... Edi |

Unfortunately my current game I've found only one death site. |
Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
why not just play a mainly death nation (ermor or ctis) or atleast take pretender with high death and hope for well of misery

Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
Ok, so, in relation to this, I have a real newbie question. I have sites that say "entering this site allows a leader to summon creature X" - but whenever I give a leader an order to enter a site like that, he is just listed as "entering site" and I can't figure out how to use that to summon beasties.
I know this is an obvious question, but...help? I'm talking about Ermor in this case, and sites in their homeland. Thanks, Alarik |
Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
The creature will appear next turn in your army setup screen, and you don't pay anything for that (well, except the lost mage-turn).

Re: Q. about magic site - Flesh Eater\'s Isle
Wait for a turn. Next turn, if a commander was entering the site, the units will be summoned. Think of it as a specialized summoning ritual.

Ok, cool. A follow-up: if I keep him in the site, does he pop a new beastie out each turn?
Thanks for the help! Alarik |
