Cant play internet game - bug now identified
 

I created an account and received an email saying

but I get the error message

username/password comination not recognised

Hmm, server is down at the moment (which is very rare), but I don't know if that's related to your problem.

Did you use any characters that might not be recognised, or that might get lost over the net?

Or, are you sure your account name isn't too long?

I'm not telling you anything definite, just that it might be an unknown bug. Your account name is rather long.

I may be dumb about this but I have so many user names and log ons and passwords that I decided long ago to slim it down to just one of each.

I just tested your account and there's nothing wrong with your username or password. It works fine. You can login to the website and the lobby using the password you entered when you created your account online.

I hate to state the obvious, but just in case, double check your password and your caps lock. If you forgot your password, just go to http://lol.shrapnelgames.com/Forgot.asp and enter your e-mail address to have your user info sent to you.

Hmm... We'll look into it some more today.

Andre tends to be smarter about these things than me, but he's been pretty sick this week. We'll definitely spend more time looking at it as soon as we can, though, and we'll follow up again here.

We're still not sure what the problem is, but we'll be looking into this and the other issues in the next couple of days, or whenever Andre gets well. (He's had a nasty cold all week and deserves to rest!)

But in the meantime, if you can send a quick email to bugs-at-tinyhero-dot-com, I do have a couple of things to try that *might* help.

if you use any upper case characters (i did) , dont use caps lock when logging onto the lobby.
hold the shift key down instead

It's nice that eternaloptimist can now log in.

It's bad that his first online game is an extra boring battle between his Elves and my Afflicted, across a stupid river that he can shoot over and I cannot (still going on, after hours... though he might be taking the upper hand right now).
