What do you think of this ? A friend of mine sent me this video after I described Space Empires IV to him. It almost seems like a game or two that I've played.....

Try renaming the file to remove any spaces etc. in the name and then upload again.

Maybe the forum doesn't permit us to upload .avi files? This is just a guess. Does anybody know? If .avi doesn't work, how about zipping it up and then uploading it?

I believe Avi doesn't work, but IIRC you should get a message when you're trying to upload a file with a wrong extension.....

Preview screen doesn't show extensions.....

If the video is larger than 30 MB, you may not be able to upload it at any rate. A multi-part archive would do the trick, as would a torrent, if Azureus would stop seeing phantom connections on port 6969...

Well, the Star Trek Mod is all but complete, the B5 mod is underway, the SW mod is MIA, and I don't believe I've ever heard of a BSG mod..... Ah well. Maybe for SE:V http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I think I have a BSG mod. Its fairly basic but playable. I think it mostly just changed the hull sizes. I only played a few turns of it. there were only two races in it, for obvious reasons. I think I got it from... yup here

I was just looking at the files. The components and facilities are modded as well for more of a battlestar feel to them. They can still colonize so you lose a little of the feel of the show that way, maybe pirates and nomads would be an interesting addition. The self repairing ships are an interesting twist though.

Cylons and Colonials. I was able to add pirates and nomads from the P&amp;N mod, modified a bit to make them simple. I gave the nomads double remote mining ability, and pirates double ship capture. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, so I'm not sure how it wil work.
