Ok nowhere on the label does it say anything about taking this medication, hydrocodone, might cause insomnia. Here it is 2:12 am in the very early morning of March 31st and I am wide-awake posting about how frigging bored I am. Wide-awake since 4 am March 30th.

"This will help you sleep." - Reset to Zero Kaiser Doctors comments about said medication helping with my back pain. "Hey doc, all I want is a good nights sleep. You know, a night without agonizing lower back pain."

Well I guess that was just too much to ask for. You know I have never told any one the real reason why I chose the name Atrocities. Well for the first time in my ten-year history of using this name, I am going to share with you why I chose it.

Boredom. Yup, there it is. I needed to find a cool on line name that sounded mean. A name that inspired fear, and to some degree, respect form those Quake II Multiplayer who would soon fall before me. (Later Tribes)

So one night, bored out of my mind at work, I picked up the old dictionary and started reading. Long about break one I stumbled upon what would become my on line name of terror. (Not to mention synonymous with unbelievable, yet quite real and much to frequent incidents of bad luck.)

Now instead of "Atrocities! OMG.... RUN, reinforce the flag, send the children to bed, fire up the old firewall to max settings!" I get this "Atrocities, you mean the dude with the bad luck?"

[insert]blank strait faced look of complete truth accepting resentment[/insert]

Ok, so I am bored and I am a bad luck gravity well. HEY! that gives me an idea for a new weapon.... The Bad Luck Gravity Blaster. Once fired at your enemies their ships suddenly start experiencing bad luck.

Any ways, my boredom continues. Just thought I would share my joy with you all. (Hello... *crap*.... no one is home.)

Insomnia is like a turd that won't flush. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif You desperately want, no need for to flush down the drain, but it just keeps hanging in there, challenging you to break out the old plunger.

"I will flush you, you brown bastard!" Oh you try but in the end, all your left with is bowl full of brown smelly turd water and a strong urge to vomit. (Bad dog! That aint drinking water!)

I am not going to skip the pill tonight in lieu of half a bottle of Yukon Jack. One way or another, I will get to sleep. (Going on 36 hours now.)

Hey, I used to drink that stuff back when I was young......

You just need to stay up 36 hours playing SE, then you'll sleep like a baby.

I have stayed up 36 hours playing SEIV before. Its chronicled in my short story "How SEIV Ruined My life." - Hense the warning lable that GParker wrote for me and all fans of SEIV.

I find that if I simply lie in one place and not move at all, eventually I will fall asleep.

I've never been awake for 36 hours, either, though.

Back on subject now, is there a time when you are not bored Atrocities? I recall having a brief conversation with you at two in the morning some time ago.
