Winspmbt .lbm upgrade
 

Hi,

I have just completed an .lbm upgrade of the first 39 countries in Winspmbt. I am about to put this project on hold so I can start the same sort off project on Winspww2.

The project has so far added an extra 8400 pics to the database, and includes the following features for the countries completed.

1. All units represented by small arms have been changed to pics of infantry units of that nation which correspond to the date involved.

2. A different pic for nearly every vehicle, most are of the correct variants

3. All missing pics now filled

4. All vehicles and aircraft pics represented by pics of that nations hardware were possible, if not possible a representation of that equipment will have its roundels removed (i.e no more USA symbols on planes in an NVA obat)

5. Standard equipment such as trucks, barges, mortars etc now represented by corect type of equipment were possible

6. The cleaning and sharpening of some original pics

NOTE. this is a big mod and was built around the 2.51 update, it will not be compatible with any future updates due to the nature of the Obat changes, so it will not be suitable for everyone.

It is roughly 160mb in size so I cant release it on this forum my question is what is the best way to make it available to the community?

Okay, I have some quick questions (based on the OOB.rar since I haven't yet been able to dl the rest; I'm sure the pictures are great). Firstly, wouldn't it be possible to just throw the OOBs in a custom folder and then swap them in and out when nessecary or did you completely change the lbm files so much that this is impossible? Also, the cost calculator, a copy of OOB #5, and some Orbat dumps are contained in the file. Is it necessary to copy these over?

I had to copy the lot because even though I have completed the first 38 countries I have also changed a few pics in other OObs if I found a pic I didnt want to loose, The OOB folder was a direct copy their is no need to copy the extra folders I didnt touch them. Be aware that when you download the pics you will have have to put them all in the same pictures folder, its not a straight copy of the pictures folder as stated in the readme file, this was due to the upload limit

I understood that, and thanks for the clarification about the OOB folder. However, I'm still confused as to whether you changed the lbm files so significantly that you can't safely overright them without changing the OOBs. Does it change the numbers of a majority of existing pictures?

Yes the OOBs have had major changes to their pictures, some have been moved to different areas to make life easier for me (i.e all bunkers are now together around Pm12960-Pm13020 etc)

Sorry but Rapidshare.DE has a rule that if files are not used in 30 days the files are removed, I beleive this is what has happened. If you would like me to upload the files again it will be a few days for I keep them on my work computer.
