Is there a set minimum AI purchase points?

I don't believe there is a set minimum but for a campaign core you need to spend about 1,000 for the AI to get a reasonable set of picks to work from.

Whatever ratio for the battle type, as determined by what you spent.

If I just want to play a smaller game and use my core units only in a campaign and not buy any support units, will the AI be similarly restricted? I recognize that the AI will get more or less points depending on the type of battle, but will the AI also get to spend the "support points? example: My core is 1000. The game is a delay. I am given/offered 1000 support points. If I do not buy any support units, then does the AI get to figure its points on the support points I was offered/given or only points based on my core units?

The ratio is based on the core value plus any support points you used to buy troops with.

It's hard to understand the formula I have the Brits vs the Italians in a campaign and in the meeting engagement (should be just slightly more for AI) I am ou6numbered by about 14 to 1. IMHO the point system is ok it's the value assigned different countries that is broken ie cost of troops and tanks etc

Think the orginal point set up was 5000 but not sure what the count is now I will check and see if can get a save for ya

Ok have a saved file, but not sure how to send it I tried attaching it to this but it was rejected????

Did you Zip it up ? There will be two files you need to send. One a CMT the other a DAT

Thanks guys I forgot about having to zip those 2 files. I dumped the save when it didn't work and just dumped the game also and restarted (it is basically what I do when the gane gets silly).
