Frechdachs Returns (finished)

After the last Frechdachs game was so much fun, I was thinking about giving it another go. There is no change to the rules, but as you know, every Dom II game is different:
 • Urgaia Map
 • 15 VPs on the map, 9 to win
 • Independents: 3
 • Magic Sites: 60
 • Common Events
 • Normal research
 • Richness: 2
 • 15 HOF entries
 • Starting Provinces: 1
 • Renaming Allowed
 • Master PW set
 • We start with 24h QH
 • Conceptual Balance Mod 5.4 ( Link )

The map says a maximum player number of 6, so that is what I am aiming at.
 • Bluebird - Ermor
 • shovah - Mictlan
 • Reverend Zombie - Vanheim
 • WraithLord - C'tis
 • Wish_For_Blood_Slaves - Man

House rules: No Ermor death theme, conceptual balance mod 5.4

Hostname: zoo.in-zueri.ch Port: 8192

<font color="purple">Winner: Bluebird playing Ermor</font>

What is Frechdachs, Is it like the Schlitzhor game?

Anyhow, I'd also like in please, as Ctis and if Ctis is taken then as Pythium.

If so, I would like to re elect my first choice to play Ctis.

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

Gee - this is starting to confuse me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I hope I get all the updates right.

BTW - the host is up and waiting for your uploads. I think the game will be good, even if we do not manage to find a sixth person. I would like to start Monday next week, if that is ok with everybody.

Looks like everybody is waiting for the Dom3 release. I have already pre-ordered 2 copies, but I do not want to wait until then. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

Yes, it is good that this is a six player game.

*uploaded pretender*

My pretender has been uploaded, too ;-)

Thanks, and unless I'm mistaken this is the last DOM-II MP game (at least in the shrapnel forums) which makes it kind of unique http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Bluebird July 10th, 2006 09:21 AM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

We will see - Dom3 has not yet been released. And even then, it takes some time until all copies have been distributed in sufficient quantities.

Also, I hope that I can get some update on the implemented protocol, so that I am able to update my 'Gods Eye' tool to Dom3.

Wish July 10th, 2006 03:16 PM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

yeah, and I hope mods are not too difficult to adapt to dom 3, I'd hate to have no one ever play with the mod I am currently working on.

Bluebird July 11th, 2006 10:36 AM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

BTW - I am creating a log of the game for a nice AAR. If anybody else will also take up the work, I think this would be very nice. I would collect them and display them side-by-side.

Hmm - the server was up all the time (uptime of the host is 204 days). But I know that the ISP has problems once in a while. These problems should go away after some time (30 min).

Bluebird July 17th, 2006 06:43 AM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

Hmm - interesting game. Is Man all alone on the western peninsula? Looks like Mictlan and Vanheim have already started to rip each-other apart.

C'tis, are you also involved in this?

Did I mention that Frechdachs games tend to become fast paced and rather ugly?

shovah July 17th, 2006 09:21 AM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

Its me and van, no ctis and yes man is alone down there to my knowledge.

Wish July 17th, 2006 12:51 PM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

yes, I have it to myself. yet to take the arcipelageos.

Of course what that means is, since I will have 6 victory points, that whoever wishes to win will HAVE to take some of them from me eventually.

Bluebird July 17th, 2006 01:26 PM

Re: Frechdachs Returns (looking for players)

Hmm - there are 15 VP and 9 are needed. If my math is right, that makes it possible to win without "our" 6 points.

The open question is: why did Mictlan expand to the west, where he/she/it has to face 3 other players, instead of going east where there is only one ... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

C\'tis breaks NAP

Fie upon C'tis for breaking our NAP without warning!

Bluebird July 19th, 2006 03:52 AM

Re: C\'tis breaks NAP

That is nasty - shame on you, WraithLord! Kicking somebody already down.

WraithLord July 19th, 2006 04:41 PM

Re: C\'tis breaks NAP

A. I have sent an in game message warning that I'm canceling the NAP on turn 12!
B. I will never break a NAP w/o warning!
C. You can check with most MP players on these forums that I am a man of my word.
D. Hey, I even have all of my turns saved so I can actually prove it. So shame on you for blaming me in vain!

[EDIT] Oh, and bluebird, I didn't take you for the judgmental type, I would suggest that you learn to be less reckless with you acusations.

Could be so, though I certainly had no intention of being sneaky, lazy?!- could be, but certainly not sneaky.

And BTW, I always read all my in game messages, I was assuming everyone does.

Prove it and the shame will indeed be upon me. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/redface.gif

The only message I recall from you is the warning that you gave that you wanted to take province 9, or some such. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Reverend Zombie, look men , I really respect you but you are completely wrong on this one. I did send a message to you on turn 10 asking if your capitol is province 9 (I don't want to give your answer as to not betray this information here), then on turn 12 I have sent a second message to you canceling the NAP.

I have no problem to prove it, anyone with the master password can verify it for I can email my saved turn.

I am really sorry you got my message wrong. Actually, I forgot a major smily behind it. Deception and betrayal is part of the game, so my statement was more an ironic one. So - here is the smile http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I've probably over reacted - so sorry for that. It just that I once had this unpleasent incident in an AOW-SM PBEM that had turned ugly, so I was somewhat on guard.

So here I am returning your smile in kind http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Jurri July 19th, 2006 06:59 PM

A technical detail

Can you actually see the messages you have sent from your own turn? As I understand it, you'd need the good Reverend's turn for that! I guess you could see from the .2h file the number of messages that have been sent, but not what their content is, for what that's worth.
