SE V Release date and do we care?
 

I heard Sept 12. Turns out to be my Bday! But will it be in stores that day?

And what do the beta testers have to say? Is the game 75% done, 80%? 90%?

How many of you will wait to buy it till it's patched?

Since its my Bday, Im gonna buy it on the 12th. But usually, I dont like rewarding software companies with impulse buys on projects they rush to the shelf incomplete. I make em pay for their hastiness and hold off till it's patched well enough. If we all did, mb they'd stop shipping majorly buggy crap.

There's a coincidence. One of the forum bigshots has the same birthday. He might not like me telling everyone who he is. oh and incidentally my own birthday is around about the same time.

The way I hear it is it will be available to order from S1 first and then a few weeks later in stores. I started a new thread last week about it. Go back a page or two.

I will definetly buy it FAST.
Everything else on my "waiting to get" list either has been piecemealed out in public beta, or I ended up on the closed beta. I drastically need a "new game" fix.

Mine's the 22nd, but I am going to get SE:V out of the gate, if I can get my hands on a copy, though it hasn't been on gamestop to pre-order and no announcement on Strategy First yet.

I'm going to want to have the physical CD. Anyone know if that will be available to order on the 12th? or will it be download only.

If I had a computer capable of running it, I would wait for the physical CD, but I have to buy a new computer first, and there are a couple other purchases higher on the priority list, so the release date is a moot point for me.

I'm also probably going to wait for the CD as well, but I'm still drooling about it regardless. As for PC specs, I'm not too worried. Well, I'd like to have the boxed CD by Christmas this year. I'm OK with waiting up to Christmas because I don't have much time to play it anyway right now. Then I'd spend most of my 1-week holiday playing it.

But if it's not out by then, I'd be quite disappointed because I'd be busy again in the new year.

oH wow so the rumor is that its avail for D/L around the 12th but wont be on store shelves till xmas? Well that sucks balls.

I want the CD. I D/Led this one, forgot where, but I cant reinstall it anywhere else. So if this comp has an issue im in touble. I dont play much se4 atm cuz im waiting for sev.

Which stores do you think will carry it? I've noticed that some of the ones I go to have stopped carring comp. games. I suppose I'll have to order it online and hope that they have a good supply.

Really hoping for a September 12th release, but that's because it's my 20th birthday the day before and hopefully starting work the week after.

There was recently an article on Tacticular Cancer that said SFI was reporting a "late september" release date.

Also, I notice that TC has some news on a new Jagged Alliance game, but SFI has news about them yanking publishing rights for the series... I do hope it comes out.

Since I'm still playing SEIV, of course I care about the New SE kid on the block, hoping that it wont suck like MOO3 did. I'll buy it when I see it at EB or BestBuy, want box .. need CD.
