OT: I\'m Moving...
As the title says, I'm moving (to a city about an 1.5 hours away, in case anyone was interested...which I doubt), so I'll be out of touch for who knows how long until I can get internet set up in my new apartment. It'll be high-speed internet too! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif No more dial-up!
Hopefully internet (ADSL) will be up and ready to go by tomorrow evening, hopefully the day after if that doesn't work. I'd cross my fingers, but I'm not superstitious. Wish me luck! |
Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
Moving from dial-up to broadband is the worst mistake you can make. It's like getting your first credit card: there's no turning back on the way to Hell now.
Good luck. |
Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
Good luck..... no more dial up... I bet your escatic!
Wish I could get rid of dial up. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif(wishes he could either A: afford a cable connection, or B: get DSL, but apparently it is unavailable in his neighberhood, and has been ever since he moved here 4 years ago.) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif |
Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
Good luck with the move and don't forget to feed your movers.

Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
Hope everything goes smoothly for ya

Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
A case of soda/gatorade/beer is always a good motivator in lieu of an out and out bribe for movers. ("please don't break my stuff.")
Good luck with the move and we look forward to hearing from you soon! |
Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
I'd suggest either pop or gatorade...giving them beer is just a non-verbal way of saying 'please break as much as possible'...

Make sure to release the beer AFTER the move is finished...

Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
I wonder what will become of AOL once dial up is no longer the standard. Ren why ya moving?
|
Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
They'll probably switch to dsl.
|
Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
Yes, food and soda during move, beer only AFTER everything is moved.
Since it's about that time, I'm assuming this move is for University... close enough to home, but far enough away so that mom doesn't keep bugging you about that girl you brought home the other night... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |

Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
I'm moving not to go to university, just to work.
Update: My possessions are moved, but since my apartment hasn't yet been cleaned since the last tenants moved out...well, I'm back home until that happens. The last people were absolute pigs. The carpets were just...disgusting. So, though my stuff is in Prince George, I'm back home for a couple days until the carpets and drapes get cleaned, and I can actually set stuff up. Right now, everything's piled in the kitchen and dining rooms. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif Then, since my parents are going on a hunting trip way up North for 10 days or so, I'm looking after their place (and their cattle) until they get back. It seems I won't be actually moving until almost halfway through September! I hate unexpected snags. |

Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
I guess AOL will have to change its name from America On Line to America Off Line. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif I can remember the day that AOL was pay per minute service and my average AOL bill was $50 to $60.00 a month. If they go under, and thats not likely, it couldn't have happened to a nicer cut throat company. The inventers of spy and malware themselves.

Re: OT: I\'m Moving...
Never was on AOL. My original accounts were on Genie and Compuserve. Then AOL bought out CS and I dumped my account with them immediatly.
Renegade, make sure you find a girlfriend for a few weeks to come over and help you get settled in. Then let her move on. Good Luck with your new place and may the "Force" help you move. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
