You can play 5 early era nations in the demo. And I would guess it's coming next week.

Too bad about the "next week" thing. One of my hard and fast rules I've developed over the years is to never buy a game without playing the demo. Been burned way too many times. Especially when Christmas looms and game companies push crap out the door to make Christmas sales. Now I'm not saying that's happening here, but I've seen it too many times. So I always get the demo first.

Oh well, so the "Dom3 now shipping" message is completely useless to me until the demo comes out.

While waiting you can always play the Dominions_2 demo... should keep you entertained until the Dominions_3 demo arrives.

Sorry, demo people. I broke down and, taking a chance, I bought the game. I decided to take the risk that if Dom II worked on my computer, then so will Doms 3. Knowing my luck, some arcane bug will cause it to crash every 5 minutes and be unplayable, but I couldn't wait for the demo. I almost never break this rule, but.... well, there you are.

Well if you do have any problems just let us know the details and some of us will be glad to help solve the issue. Even the developers may toss some advice.

I have seen the worst of the worst computer issues based on my career... so getting games to work is easy.

I hope the demo comes out either today or tomorrow. I am falling ill and all my IRL/net friends are more or less occupied or unavaitable. I can't even chat or play RO to keep the boredom away. =/

Well they finished the Windows Demo of Dominions_3. I estimate the demo will be ready for all operating systems within 2 weeks or less... and that's when they'll be made available for download.

Awesome.

First the Defcon demo, now this. Good month for low-budget games, this:).

Better to fix all the bugs while it's one demo than to have three separate ones to synchronize.

I dunno man, that's only one limitation. I have the sinking feeling there could be more, hehe. My opinion is that the turn limit should either be done away with, or at lest set to 80 turns.... even if more stringent magical research limitations need to be conceived, being able to finish out a game would be beneficial, I think. Actually, what would be hilarious is when the AI starts casting all these mighty spells that the player cannot. 40 turn limit and researsch limit lvl 4 IIRC.

Full compatibility with full game (in early era) and full access to everything when you register.

You can play demo with full version users (in early era games).

Random AI can use any nation. If you choose participants you can only use the five. Not sure which. Think it is Marverni, Kailasa, Atlantis, C'tis and one more, Arco perhaps. A beta or JK would have to correct me if wrong. Hmm, it might be Ulm instead of C'tis.

How does the 40 turn limit apply to playing with full version? Does AI take control of the demo user away from them, but the others keep truckin'?

Access to everything when you register? Whoa...are you saying you can input a CD key into the demo?
