Healing afflictions? Hello! I wonder if there is a way to heal battle/age afflictions? I cant bear losing my dear necromancers http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |

Re: Healing afflictions? Death magic protects you against aging. Battle afflictions can be healed, but those caused by old age can't. Healers that can heal other's wounds exist, but are rare: Arocscephale of all ages gets Priestesses that have this ability, EA Ermor has capital-only commanders that can heal, and Tien Chi can get one as a hero. Faery Queen at high level Conjuration can heal afflictions as well. The Chalice, an Artifact, heals afflictions in the province it is in. Gift of Health, a global enchantment, can heal not only the normal afflictions, but even those that come with age. It takes a high-level Nature mage and some Enchantment research to cast that. |

Re: Healing afflictions? Necros have a nice thematic way to circumvent aging problems : make them cast Twiceborn and send them die in your dominion ! Wight mages don't suffer from old age http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |

Re: Healing afflictions? Hmm... Perhaps mages who have cast Twiceborn should have a new command available: "Become a Wight Mage". http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |

Re: Healing afflictions? You mean, 'commit suicide' command? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |

Re: Healing afflictions? Can we add a battle order for mages with pheonix pyre? Charge and kill yourself repeatedly? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif |

Or even "Attack Rear" if you're feeling lucky! |

Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) Yikes. Arch Theurg with F random and horde of communicants: Communion Master, Phoenix Pyre, Flight, Attack Rear... Don't blame me if you get hit by this. Unless I manage to pull it off myself... |

Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) Heh. Or a _pretender_ with the right paths, who casts those spells and then retreats. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |

Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) I don't think that targeted buff spells transfer to communicants, so the flight spell might not work. I don't think that body ethereal transfers for example. |

Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) Nope, they don't. At least they didn't use to. However, one might try to cast quicken self and then have them run screaming at the enemy. |

Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) heh. I've never used theurg communicants ever since I cast quickness with a 32 strong communion in dom 2 (I was going for master enslave) as soon as I quickened, all my communicants took off and ran screaming accross the battlefield. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |

Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) I thought nature magic circumvented age... |
|
Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) I believe it adds 25 to max age, per point. |
|
Re: Healing afflictions? (became: Kamikaze tactic) Each point of Nature adds half of the base old age. Since most units are old at 50, that's usually 25. |
