1712 unique units. Pretty cool!
 
Why does no press release mention that number? As far as I know that is some kind of record http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif .

I still have only the demo, so I updated the blackunitview map from Edi, to check out all the cool new units. And needless to say it finally convinced me to order the game.

They look amazing and the backstory on most units is great. Canīt wait to try out the samurai. I noticed though that there are only pretty few new heroes, but most of them look pretty great. Is it possible to mod new heroes into the game now?

I'm not sure if new heroes can be added via mods, but I know you can at least replace existing heroes.

Yes Dominions_3 is a great game... I only wish Monday thru Friday was not spent working 9_hours, eating 1.5_hours, sleeping 8_hours, and driving/errands 3_hours.

It is possible to add new heroes with the mod commands.

I added a couple of national heroes for the Themiskyra mod I did.

How do you know they're all unique ? Or is just name enough ?

I'm tempted to create a textfile list of all units, starting with nationals because they're more accessible. That would make it easily grep'able, unlike the .xls files.

Yeah, that would be great. I won't offer help 'cause I know I probably wouldn't be able to give it enough time, but I'd really like such a file...

BTW IIRC it was Saber who made the original one for Doms 2, but I might be wrong.

I created an updated version shortly after getting the game, but #comname appears to be broken. Instead of the number showing up, the game is assigning a name. In addition, a few units "disappear in a puff of smoke". http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

heh comname works in my version. Thatīs how I got to the 1712 number. Curiously the game crashes when you add 1713, but 1714+ work and show the standard unused unit.

Since I suck at mapmaking, I managed to make it so that you donīt always get the province with all units in it. But you can start a battle vs every unit available in dom3, which looks pretty cool http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif .

Strange. Mine kept crashing when I would scroll near the end of the list, so I just kept trimming off numbers until it started working. As far as comname, it could be that the tab inserted when I pasted from excel may be the cause of my problem.
