Edit: If the Australian distributors did bad does that make me an accesory. Maybe it runs in the family.

I have a confession to make. I was Aaron. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif I logged on using a remote accessed hijacked IP and a second computer and pretended to be Malfador. The chat was meant to be a big aprils fools practicle joke but I got the dates mixed up.

Rereading it, I think we kinda cornered him with some of those questions. My suggestion for the next one would be to keep the questions light-hearted.

Np about my question, I saw that you did ask at the end.

That's why I tried to toss in a couple of "softball" questions.

I'm not heavy into the UI and modding, so while I am interested in what you guys are asking, I'm not able to come up with such questions!

Probably too early to even start thinking about for Aaron. Still, an expansion announcement for this type of game is great news, since it's (most probably)not like other expansions where you just get a few new maps and units, but actual gameplay features instead.

It was interesting the lack of communication between Aaron and his beta testers, he didn't know anything about saves being sent for instance by his core testers.

So anyone try to mod the component slots yet?

It doesn't work. You go to open a ship type with the new slots and it says: "Unknown Value "Engine" for Slot 3 Ship Section in record "Frigate Layout".

Emailed my attempt and a description to MM.

The MainStrings.txt file doesn't support the names for new slots and that is probably the cause of the error.

Probably. I did add new entries to the file, but they were ignored.
